I came up with this idea because I am so far behind in so many series. I want to catch up and read at a faster rate so to that end I decided to make this post. It is one thing if I tell myself "I will read faster/more" but it is another thing if I tell other ppl. I will post a goal and try to achieve it. anyone can do the same thing if they want. since I have Essays and mid-terms my goal is to finish Spice and Wolf Vol 5 and Faraway paladin Vol 2 by the end of March (I am half way through Spice and Wolf and almost done Faraway Paladin).

I feel like, for me, a challenge would be to read less lol. Since the start of March, I've read:

      • All 5 complete volumes of Arifureta
      • 720 chapters of Release That Witch
      • 104 chapters of Seirei Gensouki
      • Index volumes 12-14
      • Strike the Blood 5
      • All the released prepubs for Grimgar 8

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

My challenge has mostly been not to run out of stuff to read. I pretty much rely on J-Novel Club and Yen Press to keep me from running out of LNs.

If you guys are interested in challenges, we have two on the light novel page on Goodreads.

Japanese Novel and Light Novel Book Club Group (545 Members) | Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/145571-japanese-novel-and-light-novel-book-club

"New Horizons Challenge" - Read Volume 1s of Light Novels, or single volume work Japanese Novels you never read before.

Then there's the general challenge to read as many JP Novels as you can. I set my goal to 60 (I'm up to 27 books read overall, 19 novels for this challenge).

I also have a Listopia open to others to keep track of novels you read in 2018 and see what others read.

I'll challenge myself into reading the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere series within this month... I'm sure going to fail lol.

              @paulnamida said in Reading Challenge!:

I'll challenge myself into reading the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere series within this month... I'm sure going to fail lol.

I picked up 18 full series from Bookwalker (during Coin Up shenanigans)... Way too many to machine translate through I think.

              Looking at:

              Sundays Without God

Upper Class (if anyone knows anything about this series, like its title or an anime for it, let me know)

              Raisen? (Again, confusing title)

I Could Not Become A Brave, So I Reluctantly Decided To Get A Job.

              Bladeline

Haruhi Is Not In My Classroom

Omamari Himari (I don't think I'll read that since I looked up some relationship spoilers when I was bored)

And a whole host of other random ones. Lots of ones with gals with guitars.

Well, with volume 4 of Clockwork Planet and a new series, I'll have my hands full.
