I skipped the latest episode. What did I miss? Was it bearable or more of the same subpar mediocrity?

I'm dropping this, considering I'm getting some enjoyment out of the books I'd rather not have the anime spoil that.

So Mother's Basement released a new video on this show. I can't argue with what was said, it's a terrible anime, but an aspect left out is how terribly disappointing it is as an adaptation of a pretty good light novel. I had high hopes for this one.
I'm not very good at articulating my opinions so if anyone else wants to show just how much wasted potential there is, go ahead and comment on his reddit post.

@cosm1cfall I saw that video, while I usually enjoy his content this one was simultaneously interesting yet extremely painful to watch for how on the nose it was. I think some of his criticism could be applied to the original light novel but I think we can all agree the anime made some of these problems much worse. Watching that video kind of makes me wonder why this wasn't just cancelled, this whole thing is clearly a mess, its not going to sell either blu-rays or merch and its not going to drive sales of the light novel, it far more likely to turn people away from it. It's just one big waste of money and time.

He can have a crack at the Anime all he wants because it is just utter garbage, but his attacks on the source material which I can pretty much be sure he hasn't read is just asinine.

Huh, there's no such thing as a Master of Ragnarok anime. It's too early for April Fool's.
