I heard bad things about the editing, yeah. Anything story wise I'll have to see for myself. I got that one sitting on my shelf (I wonder if they fixed up the digital release?).
Sol Press' "Battle Divas" digital copy had a few errors too on release (mostly missing words, like "the" or "to" iirc).

Just finished Toaradora! and damn that’s a great first volume. Never seen anime or read manga, but loved loved loved the first volume. Great to get some slice of life, romcom stories that are available digital. @Terrence - if you haven’t picked it up I feel this is right up your alley

I did spoil the story of Toradora for myself with the anime. I might get the novel at some point though. Another good one, if you haven't seen it, is Golden Time, a college SOL romance. If Toradora is successful, I wouldn't be shocked to see Seven Seas grab Golden Time's light novel too.
I'm really looking forward to "A Sister's All You Need" at the month's end. Not digital unfortunately. T.T
Currently I'm focused on Baccano Volume 5 and White Album 2 Visual Novel (my romance kick for the month).

Finished Strongest Gamer yesterday - really enjoyed that - it was a very relaxing book that had been laughing hard at times - I had a smile on my face for most of the book. I will be keeping an eye out for more of the series.
Started Battle Divas today... and I'm not enjoying it. At all. I'm currently about 40% the way through and I'm not sure if I'll finish it. The terms "rushed", "chopped" and "infuriating" seem to come to mind. As it currently stands, I my recommendation is to avoid it.

@fozzedout I thought Gamer was pretty good but I’m with you on Battle Divas, really hard to read. I’m doing a few pages here and there in between other LNs so I don’t go crazy reading it

Speaking of LNs that are worth reading even after watching the anime, I strongly and in no uncertain terms recommend the Tanya the Evil LNs as much more in-depth and descriptive of the good(?) major than the anime. The two complement each other perfectly like a good filet and a fine wine. :-)
I feel the same way about Grimgar which adds a lot to the story in internal dialogue.
Toradora is one of my top five anime of all time but I've been on the fence about reading the LN. That show was much more visual and I'm having a hard time imagining there being much to add in regards in Ryuji internal dialog, especially in a later add. I suspect it'll come across a lot like the Haruhi LNs which I didn't feel added much to the anime experience...even though I am fully aware that with Haruhi the LNs came first.

Well I finished Battle Divas. And I will admit that it gets better about 75% of the way through.
But it isn't enough to save it. I won't be getting any of the others in that series. Even if it is a completed 3 volume work.Well, unless someone tells me that the story has done an about face like Magic Is Too Far Behind.
As for what's next? Hmmm, that story has left a bad taste. Is "For My Daughter" a fluff-fest? I'm feeling like I need something cute and sweet

The first 3-4 volumes were pretty great, but I found myself kind of losing interest after that. I'll give it another show when it's on catch-up again, but I just really wanted father/daughter doting hijinks and the story went in a different direction :(

I would, but I don't know much about it (prefer to save my posts for stuff I thoroughly read / research). I kind of want to stay in the dark on it.

I finally got into Shield Hero. Just recently finished the second volume. Not sure if I’ll keep buy the physical volumes from here on, as I might decide to buy digitally to save space, but we’ll see.

I spilled water on my physical copy of Shield Hero volume 1. I don't revisit novels usually, but it still feels bad. IIRC, it was my first light novel purchase. T.T

I spilled Juice on Pandora Hearts Volume 1 :( but recently I got the Pandora Hearts Box Set so it all good, I only had the first few volumes of it anyways.

Just finished The Dark Maidens. Really great little mystery that ended wonderfully. It didn’t really seem very much like a like Novel and more a good Japanese suspense book that had teenaged characters.

Which novel are you guys getting tomorrow? 'Mommy Isekai' or 'Guy who uses no sword despite the title being Sword Tale'? Or neither or both?
I'm getting Mommy and I'm reading Katanagatari right now.
