volume 1 cover (couldn’t find a good size image of the actual cover, but this is it)

Alternate titles: The Slow Second Life of a Dismissed Dark Soldier (age 30), 解雇された暗黒兵士(30代)のスローなセカンドライフ
      Author: Okazawa Rokujuuyon
      Artist: Sage Joe
      Publisher: Kodansha (K-Lanobe Books)
Volumes: 3 (last volume was in 2020)
Manga: Yes (7 volumes and counting)

Summary: The dark soldier Dariel (30 years old) who can't use magic while in the Demon Lord's army, was fired for his lack of capacity. Having been raised by the previous Demon Lord himself, he finds that his adoptive brother, the new Demon Lord has little use for him. However, once he rescues a villager girl from a forest monster, Dariel is invited into her village and starts realizing that he may be considerably more powerful than what he thought…

Comments: Anime was leaked and all but confirmed, although it’ll likely follow the manga instead (seeing as the LN hasn’t updated at all). It’s entirely possible that Kodansha will pick it up themselves, since they’ve been doing some K-Lanobe titles recently, but who knows?

That is less of a dress and more like a couple of Mellon bowls.

If it is going to be an anime, why not. Only 3 LNs, well if it is a let down I can just read/buy the three.

Looking to the next few years of Ascendance of a Bookworm.
