One particular book doesn't show up on my Oasis
-
So, I have a strange problem with "Demon Lord, Retry Volume 2" premium edition. This book refuses to show up in my Kindle library.
Normally I add the book into calibre, convert them to AZW3 and then send them over USB to my Oasis. But this particular book doesn't show up. It is physically on the kindle as I can see it in the windows explorer but it doesn't get added to my library on the kindle itself.
What I tried.
-
Redownloading the book and convert it again
-
Deleting the whole series on the Oasis, sending it again.
using mobi instead of AZW3 -
deleting all folders it created
-
checked that I don't have a double ASIN in the metadata
-
transfered the whole series at once and after it didn't show up deleting all books and only transer this one book
-
checking that no filter is checked on my kindle
-
even going from airplane mode to online mode to check if it adds it then
Only thing I did not try till now is a factory reset of Oasis but this would really be the last option as I would need to restore all my folders.
Oh I had the same problems with 2 calibre 5.x versions and the lates 6.x version. The firmware is the latest one.
Anyone any idea?

@saskir This might be some kind of error in the original .epub that's "slightly" out of spec or there's some xhtml problem.
Have you tried the command line kindle mobi/azw3 converter? If you do, do you see any errors when it's doing the conversion?
A long time ago, there was an issue with one of our epubs where it would literally crash my Kobo ereader but other ereaders and software had no problems opening it. I eventually traced it to some CSS 3.0 I was using in the stylesheet which was not properly implemented in Kobo's firmware... I wonder if this is some kind of edge case like that.
Would be good to see if anyone else has this issue on kindle with this particular book.

@admin The epub itself seems to have no problems (atleast according to Sigil, maybe there are nowadays better tools to check).
And to be true never tried the CLI to convert an epub.
