    I went with:

    • Chivalry of a Failed Knight (LN) - I will continue doing this on every survey no matter how stubborn Softbank is

The romance in this seems kind of interesting (quicker paced afaik).

It's cool not just because it goes more quickly but because they actually go into the difficulties of a relationship after that first step. Like, "What does it mean to be in a relationship?" "When is it the right time to have sex?" "How do I deal with my counterpart's preferences?" "How do I stop the relationship from getting stale?"

The current arc does put that element of the story on the backburner, which is unfortunate, but I hope they'll be able to get back to it once the conflict is resolved.

The March survey is up! Go go! =D

I'll have to check my lists and see what I haven't requested yet.

Ahh, Inari Kon Kon is out in English. Back to the drawing board.

@terrence Not sure of you noticed, but the survey format has slightly changed; they now ask for 2 manga recommendations and 2 light novels recommendations. Probably easier to sort out answers this way.

I kind of want to request some JNC titles for physical release, but it does seem like kind of a waste when we could be getting more series. However, at the same time, I've heard some pretty poor things about their first contemporary foray into LNs (Monster Girl Doctor), so maybe it would be better to just get more JNC physicals :X

Titles I suggested this month (i.e. my usual mainstays):

            • Darwin's Game (manga)
            • Hatsukoi Zombie (manga)
            • Tensei Shitara Ken deshita (LN)
            • Sono Mono. Nochi ni... (LN)

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@myskaros Seven Seas has not done well at all with light novels.

Not just their exclusives like monster girl doctor and Record of Lodoss war (which both had issues)

They also messed up on Occultic Nine print and Arifureta print

I am genuinely concerned with how Toradora and others will end up

It’s to the point that I rather them license nothing and just have JNC do all the work and they just do physicals...at least then I can have a decent digital copy.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

I'm still waiting for my preorder of Make My Abilities Average to show up on Nook. Seven Seas are saying to wait, but I think I've been patient enough since it's been a month. I think it's their turn to check on that status with B+N. I already got a cancellation notice from B+N. =[

Have Seven Seas fixed grammar + other issues with the digital versions of their releases at later dates? How has Bookwalker been with fixing issues too? I feel like I remember them saying they were going to take more time to fix issues. I know Shield Hero got some flack, but I think One Peace fixed stuff in the digital releases on IPad, so they weren't as bad.

@rahul-balaggan I've been pretty happy with the Grimgar novels, sad to hear other titles haven't been great :( definitely still spelling/grammar issues that I honestly don't understand how it can ship that way, but it's within an acceptable level that I don't mind paying for the physical copy. And their manga have been fine too. Would be nice if they could shape up, since more LNs on the scene would be great.

Alright, I found one I want Pop Team Epic fans!

                    Hoshiro Girldrop

Edit: The Imperfect Girl Novel that inspired the manga I think I'll vote for. And I'll probably go with Dowl Master just to check it off my request list, however unlikely it is Seven Seas would get it. And with the Aldnoah Zero Interquel "Twin Gemini", that makes 4!

I wonder if they changed the voting format because Love-Ru votes aren't matching up with manga sales? My wild tinfoil hat theory. =P

@rahul-balaggan I read their new Abilities Average light novel on Kindle a month ago, and I loved it. Translation was smooth, and almost no grammatical issues. Can’t wait till volume 2.

You wait for volume 2 while I'm still waiting for volume 1 on Nook. T.T

(I'd get it elsewhere, but none of the other venders offer easy text to speech options besides Google Books, whom SS don't deal with).

@legitpancake I am still peeved at the digital first thing, honestly it just looks like a way for them to get people to double dip and buy a digital and physical copy.

So again not happy with how SS is doing light Novels.

@rahul-balaggan To be fair, they could be doing digital first so if any real issues arise with editing they can be caught before they release the physical copy. It’s alot easier and cheaper fixing errors in a digital version than a hard copy. Just a guess on my part but considering the complaints it doesn’t seem too far out an idea.

@rahul-balaggan I don't see what the big deal is with digital first. No one is being forced to double dip just because they have to wait some months for the paperbacks. If fans like it enough to double dip, they will. If they only want one or the other, they'll get that.
I'm guessing the distribution schedule simply doesn't apply as much to ebooks, so they can get them out earlier.

I wasn't aware of any issues with Lodoss War apart from the purple text fiasco.
Haven't bought any of their novels myself (due to lack of interest) but they only really started doing LNs again last year. I hope they get better at it as time goes on. (And as more people make them aware of their faults. hint hint)

I have made any all issues that I have seen known to them either through twitter, or email, I wouldn’t just come on a different site and complain if I didn’t complain to the people who put out the content.

As for no one is being forced to double dip, when it comes to people who want to have everything as early as possible to enjoy it as fast as possible it does become an issue. Everyone who is in the digital camp made out like bandits, anyone who prefers physical either has to wait several months or pony up money now and then again in July. From a business standpoint it makes 100% total sense for digital first.

Pretty much going digital then physical is better way to start. Also, might as well reveal my picks. Ahem, For manga, I decided to go with:

-Bonnouji (3 Volumes of romantic fluff)

-Boku Girl (for the Ghost Ship Imprint)

-Tsugumomo (for the Ghost Ship Imprint)

-Komi-San Wa Komyushou Desu (Ongoing and is a cute 4koma read)

For LNs, I went with the following:

-Is It Tough Being A Friend? (A harem romcom told from the hero protagonist’s friend POV. Plus I request this series a lot, so yeah.)

-Jaku Chara Tomozaki-Kun (A romcom SOL that involves gamers slash gaming)

-Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukinai (Despite the controversial ending and Seven Seas having the manga, I figured to include the novel as well)

-Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Kinki Kyouten (They have the manga, so the LN series could work as well too.)

-Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e (Seeing how the anime came out AND how plenty of people have been requesting this series to be licensed, I figured that it also needs to be licensed as well.)

-Oda Nobuna No Yabou (It got an anime a while back, and it's also a long running series)

-I Reincarnated into an Otome Game as a Villainess With Only Destruction Flags…. (BECAUSE BAKARINA)

Speaking of mistakes missed in editing, I just glanced at the first page of Zeroth Maria Volume 2 digital release:

“Well, thanks to this last incident, I’m beginning understand why

*Beginning to understand why. So yeah, even the heavy hitters in Yen Press aren't catching their errors before release. =[

I think I'll request the "The Summoned Brave Died" manga next (see if I can find a link for that one later).
