I have a personal request, take it or leave it. When there is a new announcement of possible acquisitions. Could we perhaps start a new thread of it instead of resurrecting this 2 year old thread? It makes it harder to find the start of the context. For example, we should have a thread for the Anime Expo announcements. A couple months later when we get another set of clues for unrelated books we start a new thread for that one, etc.

I'd also like to see a link to his hints page because sometimes I find those hard to find on my own.

@malloc I agree that a new topic makes sense.

You can always find announcements/hints here: https://j-novel.club/announcements

The context is given in the opening post, the latest discussion is for the latest aquisitions. Clottering up several threads for announcements instead of a general thread like this I would say is unsmart. If you had checked the Opening Post it would've given you all information about the latest aquisitions.

Sometimes announcements are random for new aquisitions and therefore I've found the topic surrounding aquisitions for J-novel to be hardly formatted for single threads of new aquisitions. It just doesn't work.

We're also in a weird situation where we have the AX aquisitions, but also 5 more aquisitions that haven't been finalized for Autumn. In a way the current topic is all about AX aquisitions. Not the Autumn ones.

@fezu I agree with you that this Thread is good and making new ones just would not work. The way @Malloc propose would create a lot of dead threads where this one will have continuous traffic.

Sam said he had to rewrite one of the new contracts, so one announcement won’t be ready in time for AX. Personally I don’t think it’s that big of a deal lol

@legitpancake yeah, that still leaves 11 announcements, and given that every newly anounced series comes with 4 parts right out of the bat, we'll have material to read for a long while.

A little delay on a single title isn't really a problem. If the contract had to be canceled, that would have been bad. But since it just requires some rewriting that's fine enough.

For now I just want to know all the new titles, once I know them I can see if I should pick up some WN fan translations I had my eyes on for a while (like Lazy Dungeon Master). There's no point in reading WNs that might be translated shortly, I better use my time for something else. Even more so because quite a few WNs/LNs I want to read are from publishers JNC works with :D

@crimson-wise Without seven-seas logo (and a smaller size) I suspect it may be just a limited AX print.

@_08 I'ma wait for a clarification on this one before confirming it to be more than just a limited print.

If only. That would be a confirmation for a leak. Image is just probably a bit too small for you to notice.

@crimson-wise I'm favorably impressed by the article. Sam and J-Novel Club for some decent coverage in that article, without getting dragged into the New Life + controversy. Very good press coverage indeed.

@paulnamida Agreed. Now I just have to find the time to read 44 chapters (if I like the novels)
