Well, I just finished catching up on High School DxD for the current season. Pretty funny, overall.

@paulnamida No. It was the anime. All three seasons worth. Trust me, I had running commentary on just how messed up season 3 was. Verdict it still out on season 4, but my commentators went on and on how the first episode was the way the story went in the LN.
Side note: Any comments on this week's episode of Darling in the Franxx? (Let the bash-fest begin!)

@paul-nebeling After last week’s episode it seemed like a let down to me. We all know that Zero Two and Hiro will be reunited so get on with it. Personally I would like answers on the Adults, Papa and what exactly are the Klaxosaurs.

@g Yeah, Hiro is going to go thru that picture book page by page to get back to Zero Two. We all know it. It's the journey that'a the fun part. As for the other questions posed:
- Papa is the Wizard of Oz. A totally fake front used to distract the children from reality
- Adults are still kind of vague, but if think there is a sinister truth behind them that will prove to be shocking.
- Klaxasaurs are not a native life form on the planet, but a science experiment gone horribly wrong.
Just my guesses. I'm probably wrong.

I share the same sentiment. The build up was really great on the previous episode.
I was hoping for some new revelations, but it looks like they decide to settle the triangle between Hiro, Ichigo, and Zero Two first. Considering the number of remaining episodes, their decision does make sense.
Anyway, the first episode of the new DxD season was much better than I expected. Passione is a good studio. They just, uh, have a tendency to end up with unsatisfying projects.

@shrike_al @G Disappointed is a different reaction than some of the others I've seen. With ten episodes left, there's a lot of story remaining. I am thinking that pushing the Ichego-Hiro-Zero Two triangle to the forefront of the story right now seems a bit forced to me. Still, all the raging hormones does seem to be the result that Dr. Franxx is going for. It would have been "interesting" to see what the adults would have done about Hiro had Ichego not banished Zero Two from the squad.

@paul-nebeling @shrike_al - I guess we will all be in for a ride to see what Studio Trigger gives us.
On another note I went back and rewatched the two seasons of Food Wars. Someday I would like to try food so good it blows my clothes off :D. I am trying to hold off watching the current season until it is completed so I can binge it over a weekend.

Just started watching Golden Kamuy and Yotsuiro Biyori today. Both look pretty good so far.

Binged the first season of Bakemonogatari yesterday. Quite a piece of work. Loved its deconstruction of the harem genre. The studio are still a bunch of assholes for teasing Kizumonogatari like that and not delivering the movies until 5 years later. Damn.

I really need to watch the Kizu movies, but then again I haven’t even started Owari S1 yet, and I wish Aniplex would stream them somewhere. I would rather not pirate them.

Beatless - can some one tell me if the Light Novel to this is in English or not cause it confusing when i looked it up, I found 2 chapters of it floating around the net, not sure if they were fan translations or not so i just didn't bother with it. but it almost seem legit, does any one know what the deal with this is?
although i am a little concerned how a series with 1 novel has 24 episodes, i hope there is not more recaps to this 2 was more than enough already.

Where is King's Avatar 2? I saw the first season on Youtube last year when they offered official English subs. Are they doing that again?
