Episode 1 came out last Saturday and I watched it last night.
I think they're doing a good job so far. It keeps the mix of silly and warm-hearted feelings from the LN, without feeling like it's missing important parts (looking at you, Abilities Average anime).

8 episodes in, I give it a solid "B". I think it's trying a bit too hard to be cute and missing some of the warmth of the LNs in the process.
It's not bad, but it could be better.

@harmlessdave the anime is trying very hard to introduce every single character from the novels. This means it's skipping a LOT in order to keep up the pace. But it's really fun to watch regardless. And they've at least been careful enough that you'd never realize they'd skipped anything if you hadn't actually already read the novel.

@pcj - it's definitely fun to see everyone animated and to watch some of the highlights from the LNs. Also, it's leaving out a lot but not actively changing things the way the Abilities Average anime did.
