        Thank you for your interest, however J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licenses until they are licensed.

        Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

          They dont even comment about their current series' new volume release. Do you think they will talk about "new" books?

          8 parts, 8 weeks to read a book, than binge read the same book within' 2 hours again.

          Myne: Did we deceived him?
          Ferdinand: Indeed we did.
          Myne: *surprised myneface

            @hopebestman

            To be fair, when there are actual delays in getting more content out, J-Novel Club has informed users on several occasions, (example 1, example 2, example 3, etc.). It is just that when it is the standard time in between volumes where things are progressing at a normal pace there isn’t anything to report, other then things are progressing as timely as they can.

                Reality is that pre-announcing anything that doesn't have signed contracts is bad policy.

                The parties negotiating do not want to look bad if things don't work out - "Saving Face" is a thing, and not just in Japan. Party A announcing a potential license to series X can be viewed by Party B as pressuring them to complete the deal. If they reject the deal, both sides could be publicly shamed, regardless of the reality of negotiations (A only offered 10% of what B thought the series was worth, for example).

                Then again, sometimes a series that wasn't originally on the table suddenly appears in the negotiations...

                "But the blueprints..."

                  This doesn't just apply to books, either — I help staff a convention, and we don't announce our guests until we've got everything signed.

                  My grasp on sanity remains absolute.

                  Oh, right, the poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison. ...That poison?

                    @TheGrimLich you'll never know what will happend. If you promise X person will come to the convention but for some reason they cant able to, visiters would be angry, annoyed etc. So yeah, on the other hand, telling X person will come would boost the ticket sales.
