Discord Channel and Bulk purchasing of Premium Credits

Would be nice to have a Discord for J-novel. Could have perks for Premium members and what not. Just a general place to hang out. Thoughts?

Please, Sam. Let us buy premium credits in bulk. Singlecharging 10 credits is not something my bank enjoys and I'd rather just be able to buy 1, 5, 10 tokens at once off a single charge.

@Fezu Fezu, there is actually a way to bulk purchase in our backend API. If you know how to make POST http requests, copy your token-id that's saved in local storage into the authorization field and include {number: X} JSON data in the POST request. where X is the number of credits you want to buy.
I think I hard cap it on the server at 10 just to prevent fraud though.I need to add in a form in the UI to do this better, of course, but if you have the hacking skills it's possible.

I'd be interested in a Discord channel as well, as I use it for other communities and it'd nice to be able to get to know people here better. :)

Any update on a bulk purchase option yet while I do know how to send POST requests it's pretty tedious without some extra tools and I'd rather have a select amount and buy option or a button to buy 5 or 10 instead.
The staggering amount of new LNs means the current purchasing method is pretty inadequate.

I've started a Discord channel called J-Novel.club! I'm not sure whether I should post a public invite, or just send individual invites to users who ask for them. For now, anyone who wants to join should send me a chat message on these forums. @Sam-Pinansky , if you want to become an admin (or appoint someone else), just let me know.

That depends on your definition of "better". Do we want anyone to join, regardless of their membership?
I'm not saying we don't want that; maybe we do. Until we decide, I'm choosing to err on the side of caution.
If enough people say they'd rather have a public invite, then I'll make a public invite - but I'll need a few admins to step up, since public Discord channels can easily become the target of spammers and trolls.

It is better this way. But It would be better if you gave us the permission to send invites as well.

Hey guys, just popping in to say hold your horses on making a channel. We definitely have plans to make an official discord for J-Novel Club, but as you guys know Sam's been away for a little bit and is just getting back into the regular swing now. We'll keep you posted, but an official channel isn't far off at all!

When I do a discord I'll want it integrated with our API so members are verified, etc.
I need to research discord and do it right. If you want to do something on your own for now, sure, but keep in mind I DO plan on launching something official later.

I'm looking forward to the official server! Until then, I've added "UNOFFICIAL" to the server name and allowed users to create invites.

Would be handy as I've bought way more volumes than I planned so far and getting a credit for each volume of a series is a little cumbersome
