When I read a part on my 4k pc screen the reader acts as if I've reached the end of the part when there's still 20 to 30% left that I haven't read but wjen I read the same on a 1080p screen or my phone I don't have any issues

@NekrozTrish what part are you reading?

Recently I've been experiencing something like that too. It happens on a variety of titles. I'm guessing the part's already finished, but there's an error with the percentage counter or something. In my case, it happened only recently.

@NekrozTrish can you clarify whether or not you find hanging sentences at the end? I mean, whether the last sentence themselves are incomplete or not. If they are, then it's a new issue.

Have you tried hitting the back arrow button when it skips to the end of the part like that? I often have the issue where it jumps to the end mid sentence (anywhere from 2% to 10% from what I see), and when I hit back it flips back one page and then FORWARD several pages to the real end of the part, and the percentage mark changes again. When I page back to where it jumped from the percentage often reads a lower number than it did when it jumped. I just got used to using the back button automatically at the end in case it is trying to skip some pages.

@chocolatkey Ascendance of a Bookworm part 2 vol 4 part 5 but this isn't the first time and has happened with pretty much every part of this volume and several of the previous volume.

@shrike_al No the sentences finish up just fine and I generally only find out whether I missed something when I go to the discussion thread and encounter people that are talking about information that I missed out on.

I would say it's more unusual that you don't have any problems there than having problems on 4k.
This issue is years old and afaik it happens pretty much always unless images load really fast. The script makes wrong assumptions because it doesn't have images loaded while initially counting pages.
The easiest way to reproduce would be opening https://j-novel.club/c/my-next-life-as-a-villainess-all-routes-lead-to-doom-volume-5-part-1/read and flipping till the end while noting that "final" page certainly isn't final. Note that the bug wont appear again if you refresh page after that or images were already cached for some other reason.

I see it did stop right at the end of the manga intro and ignored the existence of the novel part. Shame that this has been a longer running issue without a fix guess I'll have to live with it
