    @thegrimlich v1

      @myskaros ...so judging by pacing, we're probably looking at six or seven episodes per volume, which places us squarely at the end of Volume 2 at the end of this season.

      My grasp on sanity remains absolute.

      Oh, right, the poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison. ...That poison?

        And thus, Hal and Kaede make their grand entrance! Man, the wait for next week is gonna be tough. But it does reinforce my theory that V1 is going to take 6-7 episodes. Probably 7, since I can't see the Dark Elf Village Rescue not being its own episode.

        My grasp on sanity remains absolute.

          The last couple of episodes seemed rather rushed giving the pacing of the rest of the series. The ending was rather abrupt, but it looks like more is on the way:

            yea, I'm guessing 26 episodes have been produced and it's just a matter of getting airtime- (plot progress at episode 12 would've been a better place to end otherwise) - or they want the next episodes to coincide with the release of the next volume of the LN (also January 2022)

            In this case I'll take quantity over quality (art style/VA's are fine, but animation is obviously low budget)
            Overall I am satisfied with the anime version of this. Solid b/b+

            I read banned books

              Well, if it was not a 1 cour series I would have been extremely disappointed by that ending of season 1. An abrupt end which well left a lot of threads, many reveals and the most mellow climax.
              The series is very slow paced, which matches the novel in a sense, but personally, I felt the pacing could have been a little faster.
