Thanks to the latest news topic I got reminded of an issue I have seen.

Lazy Dungeon Master: Volume 2 is unavailable at amazon .DE +.COM I checked; for the latter I cannot provide a link since it does not show up in the first place. The major reason why I never picked the series up since it would mean a break at volume 2 right away.

Before anyone reminds me I could buy the premium ebook here - I know.

I just like to point out to that issue and wonder if it will be ever available again on amazon or not.

@serah I'm pretty sure that this was a known issue with amazon.de. The have issues with the illustrations in some of the LDM volumes and decided that they aren't fit for viewing.
At least that was how I understood it in the past anyway.

Yeah Amazon Germany banned that volume due to the nature of the illustrations within.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

does that apply for amazon.com as well? If yes that it is even harder to understand.

It seems I cannot find volume 1+2 on amazon.com

            https://www.amazon.com/kindle-dbs/entity/author/B077SF5KM1?_encoding=UTF8&node=618073011&offset=0&pageSize=12&searchAlias=stripbooks&sort=author-pages-popularity-rank&page=1&langFilter=default#formatSelectorHeader

Or is that an regional access matter?

Who would start buying a series with volume 3? Is there nothing what JNC could or want to do about it, if that is the matter? Like at least putting an explanation at amazon so people can see the issue is elsewhere?

              @serah

No, it is available on all other amazon stores, just not Germany.

They have tried to get it back in but to no avail.

              Edit:

V1 of LDM on Amazon US

V2 of LDM on Amazon US

As for putting an explanation on Amazon Germany that is an amazon issue that J-Novel Club has no control over.

@rahul-balaggan I see. That is unfortunate and hard to tell from an outsider's perspective.

If JNC considers doing something about that in the future, I would think of "Germany Editions" of those volumes, without illustrations at all.

Out of curiosity: is that something about the nature of the images or the quality? For the latter there are usually additional information shown with a book...

That would be censorship, and I don’t think J-Novel Club would want to go down that road, if they did they would have done it long ago cause LDM V2 has been out for quite some time now.

Out of curiosity: is that something about the nature of the images or the quality? For the latter there are usually additional information shown with a book...

The images in V2 (like many volume of LDM) are ultra ecchi, and in that particular book I guess amazon thought they were straight up Hentai/pornographic.

here is a link to the JP edition of V2 on BookWalker you can preview the color illustrations on there, just click the cover image. (Although I think you need an account on BookWalker, for it to open. Doesn’t have to be a JP account a global account will work)

Ugh... one image definitely set my alarms off there... despite you may think you getting used more day by day to the Japanese lolicon culture...

I decide to let that sleeping dog sleep.

Only Amazon has banned that volume in Germany. Germans can still buy it on Kobo, Nook, Bookwalker, iTunes, Google Play, and Premium.
