I have a question regarding the availability of a certain series when being a member.

I know this post isn't exactly a bug or problem, but I haven't received an answer when I emailed the contact@ two days ago. Sorry if this isn't the right place, but I want to know if when I sign for membership ($4,95/M) I will have access to all of Der Werwolf: The Annals of Veight volumes and its parts. I already bought 1 volume on Amazon before I discovered this website so I'm willing to pay to the member if I get access to the whole story.

welcome to the forums. The assumption of yours is a typical mistake, and I am happy to help with the clarification.

If you become a member here by subscribing, you can always read the currently translated / edited version pre-publication. Currently you could read volume 6 with the membership. The other volumes must still be bought.

Sometimes there are time limited campaigns here, where you can get access to the older stuff - but as for now, you get only access to volume 6, and only to the first part of every other volume of the series you mentioned.

What @Serah said is accurate, currently you will only have access to V6 of Werewolf.

The last time Werewolf was on catchup was in June of this year, so it may come back into rotation in a few months. By all means you can just watch the main page to see what titles are put on catchup each month, they make a new post when it changes over (please note it isn’t always changed on the first of the month) and you can choose to subscribe when the series you want is fully available.

You can also sign up for the J-Novel Club Newsletter which does inform what the current months catch-up titles are.

Additionally the reason support hasn’t contacted you back is because there is a slowdown in effect due to the Holiday season.

Ah, good to know. I was under the impression from the reply I got here, that the address contact@j-novel.club is no longer attended.

Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused and thank you again for providing me with information and tips. I will gladly buy the other volumes and search for other series that are to my liking. When I catch up with the series material I'm willing to pay the membership to stay up to date on the story. Good holidays and happy new year.

Not trying to shill J-Nobel Club too much here...

I would be remiss in not pointing out that if you become a member (regular or premium) you can buy premium credits on the site, those premium credits will allow you to buy premium versions of J-Novel Club titles.

Premium credits cost $7 for regular members to buy and cost $6 for premium members to buy (you also get a free credit the day you sign up for premium membership, and an additional credit on the 15th of every month.

What are premium ebooks?

Again you should do what you feel comfortable with first and foremost, if all your ebooks are in one platform and you don’t want to switch then there is no reason too.

I am always thinking of a good way to describe what a J-Novel Club subscription is like. I guess it's Bharat described in two parts. The prepub part and the premium epub part.

Describing the prepub part is tricky, because the best comparison I can think of is something that was pretty much gone before I was born. I'm referring to the old pulp serial magazines where authors would publish parts of their stories over time, and eventually the completed novel would be published. If I recall correctly, a certain Charles Dickens published a few of his novels that way. It was, of course, a time-limited thing. You had to buy the parts as they were published and also buy the completed book if you wanted it. Nicely bound like a work of art as Bookworm's Ferdinand would describe it.

The epub part is a little easier to describe. There are, here in the United States, These things called buying clubs or warehouse clubs, where you pay a fee to join and are allowed to shop at the club. In this case, the club sells e-books, the exact version of which is not available from other retailers.

A premium membership gives you a $1 discount on every credit purchased in return for agreeing to purchase one credit every month. Admittedly, that's an odd way to look at it, but that's the way the math works out to me.

You mean how manga is currently published in Japan? lol.

Also, the "pre-publication" versions of novels that you can read free with membership are not the final versions that are sent to Amazon, etc. they are missing some fixes for typos and such.

More important, you have to buy the Premium versions of novels directly from JNC to get the bonus content that is listed here: https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/305/premium-e-book-bonus-contents-list/

Der Werewolf has some nice little bonus stories, but they are not as important to the overall story as the ones in Realist Hero.
