TTS on iOS 13 broken

The new JNC App was working great for TTS on iOS 12, but it doesn’t work well on iOS 13. Instead of reading continuously, it reads a few paragraphs and ends.
The workaround is to use TTS on the website, but it would be nice if the app worked with this accessibility feature

Thank you for bringing this up. I noticed as soon as I updated my phone to iOS 13 that the TTS was borked. Yea, 2-3 paragraphs and then it stops. Really hope it can be fixed relatively quickly.

Pagination is borked -
TTS is also broken for me using Select to Speak on Android now. It only reads what is visible on screen, not the entire part. This also happens on the website with that (unless you use the less intuitive "TalkBack" feature, which will read through everything).
This isn't really a JNC issue I assumed, just a TTS or my phone issue, but idk.

@jon-mitchell Thanks, now I know not to update to iOS13. I use pagination not scrolling on the J-Novel app.

It’d be nice if some one from JNC would at least acknowledge this thread. It’d be even nicer to know they’re investigating.
As it stands, I’ve stopped reading prepubs and may stop bothering at all with the app. It’s easier to read fan translations than JNC using TTS.

@carolinefelicity We’ve made Sam aware of it on Discord, as well as the fact that horizontal scrolling is also borked. It doesn’t seem particularly high on his to-do list though...

I just updated my phone to the latest iOS and it appears my iPhone 8 can now text-to-speech an entire prepub, where previously it would only play a couple paragraphs and then quit. This makes me very happy :)
Can anyone else verify if it works for them? -
@LegitPancake I can verify it’s working again. It’s still not as perfect as it was before, but it’s a huge improvement
