Seems to be a section missing in the translation. Part 2 ends with the guildmaster starting an explanation of the request to ryoma's party, but part 3 starts with 'well shit happened and now we're screwed. Anyone got an idea on how to fix it?'
Basically it looks like an entire part is missing, which would probably be the quest description, travel time, an entire set of new characters to introduce (mercenary band, crimson lions or some such), and at least one major battle to which the mc can yell "it's a trap!"

It's working as intended. We get thrown into trouble and later on we get a flashback to the start of the quest.
