Did any one else think the placement of the tail was a little off? As I recall the tail bone is at the top of the buttocks and not where the artist put it. Odd, I don't remember this series had any of that type of stuff in in. Am I wrong in that regard?

It could be that the base of the tail is the same color as the skin and then directly go between the buttocks, or maybe it's not a tail and it's coming out of the right place... it wouldn't be behond the kind of humor that serie like to go with.

might be odd artistic choice, or not a tail, or the punchline in a joke we read about in chapter 13 or whatever
but yea, on creatures with spines the tail is an extension of the vertebrae, the base of the tail would be anterior or 'above' the pelvic bones
