    I traveled to Barnes and Noble recently and noticed that JNC's now publishing their print books in a smaller form factor with much higher quality paper, such as JK Haru and Isekai Smartphone. I even saw both the larger Seven Seas How Not To Summon a Demon Lord and the smaller JNC version side-by-side, IIRC. Are they going to republishing their other books that Seven Seas originally handled too? I might be interested in buying, e.g, Realist Hero physical, but I don't want to buy the first few in the larger form factor only for the series to switch to the smaller new one. Is Seven Seas going to be handling Realist Hero until it ends?

      @vadara

      No they are not.

      Seven Seas will continue to release the ones they licensed and JNC will just be giving physical treatments to the ones they deem will sell.

      Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

        @rahul-balaggan So only new series to come out will be in the smaller form factor then. Well I'm glad my favorite LN series (Dendrogram) is going to be one of them--I'd like to own it in the highest quality possible.

          Yes only the newer ones will get the JNC treatment, also it looks like 7S is going with a smaller book height, but that is for totally new licenses not the old ones that already got the big release.

            Also JNC publishes the LN for How NOT to Summon, and 7S publishes the manga for How NOT to Summon so maybe that is where the size difference came from?

              @rahul-balaggan That might have been it, I wasn't paying super close attention and I don't feel like walking in the baking heat to check it out again.

              I really love the paper and heft of the new JNC print books, they feel absolutely wonderful to hold and their small size makes them quite convenient.

                @rahul-balaggan they go for smaller size but their books get much more thicker so its taking more space then before!!

                  @theredjet I would argue that Mushoku Tensei and Classroom of the Elite in the new form factor are the same thickness as Arifureta and Realist Hero, but are same page size as the JNC release.
                  Personally, I think SS new form factor is heaps better than the older one.

                    I was at my local B&N last night, I must live in the sticks, not a single JNC volume was on the shelves. Several JNC licensed titles (printed by Seven Seas) were on the shelf - but nothing w/ JNC imprint. I wonder if they just don't sell that well in my local store, but there was significant shelf space allocated for Manga/light Novels so...?

                    I read banned books

                      @jon-mitchell Maybe they were sold out :o I've definitely seen JNC books at my B&N.
