I was reminded of this series by Frog-kun on Twitter today and since the OP was lacking, here's more detail:

Synopsis:
From what I understand of the garbled Google translation: a kingdom isn't doing well and is threatened by surrounding nations with war while the King is ill and no one has any ideas to save it. When an isekaied person comes along who tries to help the kingdom with diplomacy and war using his knowledge of math.If you follow Frog-kun on Twitter (From Truant to Anime Screenwriter translator), they have enjoyed and praised the series quite a bit:
The "Saving a Weak Kingdom with Numbers" light novel is so, so good. Some of the best fun I've had with an LN in a while! Gonna hope and pray that this gets an English release one day.
Volume 2 of "Saving a Weak Nation with Numbers" is even stronger than the first volume. Instead of projecting the basics of Game Theory onto warfare in general, this volume features mathematical simulations and modelling that's closer to real-life applications.
Above all, I really love the themes of this series. Instead of optimizing battle strategies, our heroes strive to create the conditions where war doesn't break out at all. Volume 2 ends with the idea that politics is a "non-zero sum game." It's a really optimistic outlook.
There's no presenting cold-hearted methods as the only "logical" way to get things done. And people aren't immediately convinced by the numbers the MC throws at them. He has to take the time to empathize with them before they get on board with his ideas.
I think it helps that the author is the kind of person who hated studying maths in school. He understands why it puts people off. That's why the MC's ultimate end goal is to create a world where people can love maths too.Though I'm getting very picky in regard to what isekai light novels I pick up nowadays, this one interests me because it sounds similar to the early volumes of Realist Hero in which the MC uses modern knowledge (in this case math) to save a nation. I think it would be a good pick-up for JNC for the same reason. There's only 3 volumes out currently, so it wouldn't take long to get caught up, and as a bonus, it has the same illustrator as I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years.

They wouldn't burn this artist on a bad novel, right? In a store I would have bought it based on the covers alone. And from what I can gather the story seems to be good too.

Frog-kun (Translator on Mari Okada's biography here iirc?) on Twitter really enjoys it and hopes it comes out in English. Frog Kun is up to volume 3 reading in Japanese.
