Well, not 100%; they translated Flutrane as Fruhtrane.

But I'm really glad we didn't get Jilvester

@osrizzo, these things seem to vary by stream provider, which I suppose is natural. For example, Sylvester in the last CR episode forces "Main" to say "pwee", but in the PV it was "oink". Although in the P4V7 LN thread, @GeorgeMTO says that MuseAsia is still using "oink".

After reading something captivating, book lovers simply need to talk about it with someone.

@angelus Could have been worse. If Sylvester had said "squeal like a pig", I would have been traumatised.

So 1990s. I'd rather play Ehrenfest: Skylines. The Feyplant DLC would be to die for.

Looking to the next few years of Ascendance of a Bookworm.

So, a 50% mortality rate so far among Effa and Gunther's offspring.
                    Um, yeah.

Rosina, Wilma, Jenni, all left behind when Lady Christine left the Temple.
Rosina and Wilma now appear well adjusted to their new life after being taken in by Myne.

Jenni, despite having been lifted back out of the Orphanage earlier than they, appears somewhat less than happy with her lot; one gathers the HB is not kind to those who attend upon him.
Well, that's hardly news at this point, but Jenni for one isn't positively inclined toward those who ended up with a more pleasant master this time around; why her? is a question with no good answer, after all.

Delia continues being somewhat easily deceived by those who mask ill-will under a pleasant seeming.
Her grasp of how she would be treated if taken by someone as a mistress is rather lacking, but those arranging such matters seem to have grasped that things go more smoothly for themselves if those they provide go willingly to the block.
Knowledge is power, and all that.

I really dislike that Delia is manipulated this way; while the HB has more power, Myne is a far more reliable master... just ask Fran and Rosina concerning who would place a priority upon their lives.

                    Speaking of knowledge and power.
Ferdinand and Sylvester have more to mull over now that they've seen the Myne Workshop in action, and the result of exposure to what she is already producing upon the knowledge base of those within the Orphanage.
From that perspective, the longer they have to prepare, the better, so Myne staying with her family continues to be permitted until she reaches an age where they can postpone her adoption no longer.

I've never been a big fan of the explanation Myne gave Ferdinand in that scene.

Ferdinand: So what happened in your world with the advent of printing?
Myne: Here is the least flattering answer I could possibly give that zeroes in on the worst possible fears you might have.

It always baffled me that she didn't expound upon the wonders of the democratization of information or the ways in which it contributes to education and the profound value that brings to a society.

One of the things that always bothered me about the characters in this series is how little they seem to be interested in Myne's previous world. It always struck me as a bit strange, considering how all of them are aware of all of the inventions that she seems to endlessly come out with.

In other news, anyone who was waiting for me to post pictures from the Tokyo Printing Museum; I went to the museum, but sadly no pictures are allowed there. In fact they made me store my camera in a locker while I went through the museum (that's the first time a museum has be that particular about it.)

I will say, the museum itself is wonderful and modern and every exhibit has multiple language support, so it is something you can enjoy even if you can't understand Japanese. They also have a printing experience where you can experience typesetting for yourself. I highly recommend stopping by if you ever visit Tokyo. It's also very reasonably priced at 400 yen per person.

@osrizzo, no pictures? Very strange. Even the Tokyo National Museum lets you take pictures of many of their fragile, priceless exhibits.

I said it a couple of weeks ago, but some museums here allow photos and some don't. The Printing Museum is a bit peculiar in just how far they went to prevent it, though. (They even had museum staff all throughout the exhibit halls to prevent it.)

I had hoped I could take video of the printing experience (since it's not strictly a part of the exhibits), but even there they were very adamant about no cameras.

I've been to many museums here that do not allow photos, but none of them actually enforce the rule, let alone to this degree.

I feel the same. I like to imagine that Lutz and Myne talked about it quite a bit during the time they spent together making paper, and I wonder if maybe the author decided that they did, but didn't write it down explicitly because it doesn't impact the story.

That's a shame, but thanks for making the attempt!

That seems expensive to have so many staff. But the admission is just 400 yen? Well, I don't understand the economics but I appreciate the report! I won't need to lug my big camera over whenever I manage to visit. I am curious though--did their gift shop have any Bookworm merch? Or any other particularly unique gift shop items?

The dub version is out and I got to say it is well done, and have improved from the previous seasons. I’m able to enjoy the visual aesthetics more now that my eyeballs can focus on the animation rather than subtitles.
