Oh, dear. These make me think that we're not going to get anything from Ferdinand's foray into Myne's mind. And that would be a tragedy. It was easily one of my favorite parts of Part 2.

My favourite chapter in the book too. After seeing these pictures I am actually hopeful that we will see nothing of that at all. Instead I hope it will be its own whole OVA episode. The chapter sure would deserve a whole episode dedicated to it.

Regarding how the this episode was a lot less action packed than I'd have expected from the book - probably the weirdest thing to me was how little Myne tried to struggle.

The last episode went about how I thought it would, but knowing all the stuff that happens next makes it a lot more bitter-sweet than I think it was meant to be.

Just seen the last episode... in the end, that phrase: "the story continues..." means I am allowed to hope for s3? I would love it so much!
I don't know if I'm satisfied with the episode or not...I was mildly disappointed, but I still enjoyed it. Mixed bitter-sweet feelings but still satisfied... and greedy for more. Hype-hype \o/

Yeah, I've said this before and I'll say it again, if your biggest complaint about something is that you wish there was more of it, that means it is doing a good job.

@db0ssman Honestly, I preferred reading the part, but I'm ok-ish with the compromises made.
And ofc I do want more...I'm addicted- on a noticeably unhealthy level to this series + LN. The first episode got me interested in the novel, and than...you see...I ended up here, commenting, discussing etc.etc.

Same here. This is one of the very few series that I not only read (and watch) weekly, but actually keep up with the on going discussion in the forums daily.
As for the episode, I'm glad with how it turned out (though the book was way better), I do wish that we'd have gotten a bit more with Ferdinand seeing modern Japan.

Yeah, that would've been nice. To see/hear the shock in his voice :D would've been a treat :D and I'd love to see the aftermath a bit more expanded...so I'm hoping for an s3. This deserves to be animated all the way.

It was pretty shortened but not terrible. I almost thought they would go with real world video for the memory. It's hard seeing so much condensed into a different dialogue but of all the possibilities I'm satisfied enough. If ever I'm missing a character I'll be able to get my short fix of Gunther, Effa, Tulli, Benno, Mark, or anyone else from these episodes.
Later edit... I liked the wording for the prayer in the LN a lot. Very clean, poetic, and understandable to Myne hearts content. They showed her mana box, but she didn't open it fully?

Man who's cutting onions? Really loved the season conclusion, even if it skipped the bath scene hehe. Really great effort overall and really hoping we'll get a season 2 confirmed soon :)

Am I the only one that read "the story continues" as "the story continues elsewhere"? It feels really ambiguous as to weather or not it will continue. I feel like if they had plans to continue they would have said, to be continued. I really feel like we won't see any more.
