@jjch102296 The schedule will go up along with the first part. The first part should be up sometime this week, if things go as planned.

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@myskaros so it is going to be in 12 parts then it will translate it into one complete volume. But will they translate it soon or will they translate it later on like in the next couple of months?

@jjch102296 there is no info on when the first part will be released, it could even be 5 minutes from this post.

All we know is the data was received and the translation team is already working on it

They very rarely announce when a new volume will post its first part early even if they do the earliest they will put it in the schedule is a day before it releases.

Also no one has confirmed that Volume 9 will be broken down into 12 parts, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they broke it into 14 parts because V10 has not been announced in Japan yet.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@rahul-balaggan They might break V9 in less parts than 12 too. And once they're done with it it's time for Arifureta Zero V3 (if it has spoilers from V9?). Or they translate both at the same time with more parts. Anything can happen really.

Since we're in the topic of coming events, anyone heard anything about the anime?

So uhh.. It's March now (somehow).

Does anyone know if there's a way to get an official (translator?) status update as to when and where the Volume 9 stuff is going to turn up? I've been watching this thread and there's lots of people helpfully guessing or relaying things they've heard, but just curious - is there a proper official mechanism of getting the word straight from the nice people @ JNovel?

I know it'll turn up when it does, and we can't hurry it - which is fine. But I'd really appreciate knowing if there's a way to get the official word if at all possible.

Is it this forum? Is it discord? Is it email? Just wondering if anyone knows...

                  Cheers,

                  -SD.

@sdjnovel unless it’s Sam or Aimee the word will generally always be “unofficial”, and Sam and Aimee are so busy they only appear in discord when there is an issue on the site.

Even if a translation team finishes a part they don’t pick a release date, and they don’t upload the part, that is handled by Aimee (and I think there is now a second person).

So even if the translator says it’s done that won’t translate into “it will be on the site tomorrow”

That being said the most up to date “unofficial” info from the people working at JNC would be Discord, even then they are busy and not always on.

@jjch102296 if you are referring to the image where Ningen says Arifureta V9 will be 12 parts, that was posted above that by @LegitPancake and Pancake got that from the JNC Discord

@myskaros nothing so far are you sure your info is correct? I haven't seen any sign of it happening for a while. there isn't anything on the schedule.

@jjch102296 just to repeat a few things @myskaros said:

                              • the schedule will be updated after the first part goes up. (So we will most likely not get a heads up)

                              • saying it would be last week was an estimate based upon the info that the tranlator has received the data, it was not concrete.

@jjch102296 I was just repeating what I heard on Discord. It sucks if there's some kind of delay, but they can only do so much as regular people, and if something happened that's out of their hands, then a delay happens.

I'm not particularly defending JNC here, I agree that it's been a long time and it's weird that they haven't released it yet, but I also think JNC has earned at least a little faith that they're just behind for some reason and not maliciously screwing with us or about to go under or something.

Do you think it might have to do with the fact they are no longer doing weekend part publishing? I noticed the last 4 to 6 weeks on Sat and Sun JNovel has not been publishing anything on the weekend.

@antipathy In my timezone Potion Loli and Undead are published on Saturday. And Arifureta (both main series + Zero) are usually published at the same time, too.

@antipathy I don’t think that has anything to do with it.

Tuesday and Wednesday (my time zone) used to have no new releases or maybe just 1 between both days.

All they did was switch the break days from Tuesday and Wednesday to Saturdaya nd Sunday.

@myskaros June 8th for ebook release, oof. At least volume 10 will probably be out by then (maybe) and they can immediately go to that after 9 is finished.
