For quite a few of the novels on the apple app, often the only part(s) of the volume available is(are) one and two. Specifically for “If its for my daughter, id even defeat a demon lord” and “Grimgar of fantasy and ash”, a lot of volumes only have one or two parts available. I have a premium subscription, so im wondering if early on jnovel didnt have full publishing rights, or are the missing parts simply not available?
Also, sorry if this is the wrong thread, my first post here and this looked like a popular enough thread to receive an answer.

Hello, please have a look at this recent topic which asks the same thing: https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/1552/can-only-see-preview-chapters

          https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/534/expiring-volumes?page=1
For My Daughter Volume 6 expired on August 15, and Volume 7 will expire on October 15.
Remember, pre-pubs are exactly what they are called: pre-publication parts. Once a book is publicated, the pre-pubs will expire 4-8 weeks after, depending on what day of the month it comes out.

Now that you are a premium member, you can show support for the author by buying premium credits, meaning you can download DRM-free ebooks with (in the case of For My Daughter) exclusive bonus short stories.

@legitpancake hmm, in that case, i think id be more supportive if i unsubscribed and used j-novel as a calandar for releases im looking forward to, and then purchased the physical copies. Or are not all the series here being physically publisged in english?
That being said, next time im at coles i know now that im buying a few titles that i found here.

@robyle3 The vast majority of series licensed by JNC are not published physically. There are a select few that are:

                • Arifureta, Clockwork Planet, Realist Hero, Grimgar, Occultic;Nine are published physically by Seven Seas.
                • In Another World with my Smartphone and How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord will be published physically by JNC starting early next year, I believe.
                • All other series are currently digital only.
                  • If e-book sales are good enough for a given series, it has a very high chance of getting a physical print by JNC.

If you didn't gather from Terabyte's links, if you want to get a refund for your subscription because you weren't aware of how access to prepublications worked, e-mail support@j-novel.club.

@myskaros oh, im not looking for a refund. I wouldve looked into it more before subscribing if that was the case. Ive also seen physocal copies of a few titles you didnt mention, most specifically “If it was for my daughter”. The great thing about this service is it allows you to literally preview a novel you’re interested in before buying it. I know if ever Realist hero comes out physically im scooping up wvery volume as if it was a mythical pokemon, haha. And i may scrounge up my first gen e-reader just so i can buy the digital copies. Thanks again, happy reading!

I'm like 99% sure that you saw the manga, not the light novel :)

Well, shoot, i was getting excited for a second XD.
Mangas are ok, but id rather spend 16$ on a whole story. Mangas take around 3x as long to cover the same amount of material. Mind you, each meduim has strengths and weaknesses.

I found my old kobo, but now i have to search high and low for the aincient mini-usb charge cord (its the fat one, not like the sleek micro-usb on a lot of cellphones). I may have to update my e-reader XD. Any good reccs?

FYI, the $50 (sometimes $30) Amazon Fire 7" tablet works pretty well as an ebook reader. It's not as nice (or as light) as my $200 e-ink Kindle but is perfectly legible and isn't too heavy. It also has a microSD card slot that supports 128 GB cards.

The main drawbacks with it are: the built-in speaker is terrible (headphones sound great) and it doesn't run a standard version of Android or include any of the Google apps or store.
