Twintails: the glory of all mankind—or at least that is what first-year high school student Souji Mitsuka believes. At school, Souji spends most of his time daydreaming and rating girls' twintails, even going as far as creating a club dedicated to the hairstyle. His obsession does not go unnoticed, however; when monsters from outer space attack Earth and claim the world's twintails for themselves, a strange woman named Twoearle enlists Souji to fight back using twintails of his own!By transforming into the twin-tailed warrior Tail Red, Souji combats the vicious alien organization known as Ultimaguil, whose main goal is to colonize Earth and steal everyone's spiritual energy, or "attribute power." Alongside fellow twin-tailed fighters Aika Tsube and Erina Shindou, Souji must find a way to defeat the invading army and defend the twintails he holds so dear.
Why?
This level of ridiculous is too good to pass up if you ask me. MC turns into a loli power ranger for the squad. Aliens that literally feed on fetish fuel. Aliens that vehemently ignore the resident impulsive tsundere whenever the good guys become a topic!
It's like a more ecchi version of a Super Sentai show.The anime really left me wanting more back in 2014, and that feeling hasn't changed to this day. I still hope JNC can strike a deal with Shogakukan at some point.

I thought this was supposed to be complete, but there's a Vol.17 coming out in March now. -
Just signed up today to show my support for this series. I'd be very happy to be able to read this in english. I know about this series from its anime adaptation but I'd love to see Jnovel club license the light novels, possibly also the manga as well. Big fan of action related series like this with cute girls and monster type characters. The author also has some other series that would be fun to read as well.

I literally just discovered the anime recently and absolutely loved it. the plot is utterly absurd and almost inconsequential, but the characters and their development over the course of the show is a lot of fun. (also features one of my favorite underused anime tropes: the pervy mother who tries to get her son laid/married off ;)
