      there's also a harem.

I already wanted the series, but this is just the icing on the cake.

          I won't say he's master of "Mystery".
I love NisiOisiN stuff but I don't think that mystery is the main theme of his works.

All of his stories are character stories with interesting half-anime half-realistic characters, themes that works well with teens (Juuni Taisen novel was exception. it was anti-war while the manga sequel -and the last anime episode- covered many themes that is related to passivity of his generation, generation X), amazing dialog and entertaining banter.

I think that's why his work is really good~

Actually, Okitegami Kyouko no Bibouroku got a live-action drama series, which is great till the last few episodes where they went on the original ending route. (However, it's worth checking out!)

When Sam is asking the same question as all of us...
"What are the problems that JNC has to overcome to get a Shogakukan title?"

@rahul-balaggan My kids are the same way. They'll read manga all day long, but they won't open a light novel, despite my having a complete printed set of SAO, plus a few other series on ebook. I'm kind of the opposite. My younger son has a full set of Tokyo Ghoul manga that he's offer to let me read and I've yet to touch it.

@paul-nebeling Do your kids play video games? I always assumed the only type of people that will be drawn to SAO in prose form are gamers.

(Actually, if I were in your shoes, I'd have difficulty starting Tokyo Ghoul too. It's a pretty heavy investment, although a good one.)

I would love to see vrmmo activity log since it isn't being translated online anymore.

It's probably been mentioned already but how to pick up girls in a dungeon would be awesome as well.

                    Thanks!

                      Wait are you referring to

Is It Weong to try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?

Or is there another series called How to pick up girls in a dungeon?

If it’s the former that is licensed by Yen Press as well as several spin-offs.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@jthor035 I would like to see more pure VRMMO LNs. Only Sense Online comes to mind when it comes to pure VRMMO LN, I think there is a LN called 1/2 Prince where a girl creates a new male character and her friends do not like this new character and do not know it is her.

I do wish though that, other than "How Not To Summon A Demon Lord", the author's other work, "Altina The Sword Princess", was licensed as well

                          unfortunately, its from Enterbrain....

Sorry since I don't know, but what does Enterbrain have to do with JNC not getting Altina?

@drone205 1/2 Prince was a Chinese Novel rather than an LN so not really in J-NC's territory. Otherwise, I would love to see OSO licensed too considering it's a fantastic VRMMO SoL series that I've read multiple times. It's a shame that the LN fan-translations keep dying.

@seltzermx Enterbrain is a subsidiary of Kadokawa, as of right now JNC has no ties to Kadokawa, and Yen Press is 51% owned by Kadokawa so unfortunately all Kadokawa titles are off the table for now.

Is it possible for JNC to get titles that Yen Press don't want to license?

@xftg123 I can pretty confidently say every single title JNC acquired so far Yen did not want...

As for Kadokawa stuff it’s still not that easy, just cause Yen doesn’t want it doesn’t mean Kadokawa will give it to JNC, more then likely Kadokawa isn’t willing to take a “risk” with one of their titles cause JNC is still a relatively new company.

At the end of the day it’s all about name recognition, reputation, and cold hard cash, and assuming cash isn’t the issue it’s the other 2

I want to recommend J-Novel Club to pick up <Being Able to Edit Skills in Another World, I Gained OP Waifus>. It says it is web novel in NovelUpdates, but they have been published as a lightnovel in Japan. It is isekai with a OP MC and standard harem, but it is filled with fluffly harem scenes and LN doesn't take itself seriously. MC gets OP by rearranging and editting the standard skills to make them OP. For example, he makes a magic that can erase people's memories by rubbing a dirty mop on enemy's face. It is filled with ridiculous powers that are OP in nature. It is lighthearted LN and I think it would be great addition to current collection.

Also, there can't be enough isekai.

@shrike_al Heavy gamers. They're almost hikikomori as much time as the spend in thier rooms. My younger one started to read SAO, but lost interest. His Christmas present this year was a full set of Tokyo Ghoul. I was slightly disappointed that it didn't come in a slip cover.

Some people had been mentioning that they wanted the Katanagatari novels, so I felt I should mention that Vertical has just licensed them and will release them in omnibuses.

@legitpancake Vertical is killing it with the NisiOisiN series.

Only series I'm hoping for gets picked up is the "Boukyaku Tantei" series
