@terabyte said in The Familiar of Zero:

Volume 22 was published on February 25, 2017

      silly me

the fan translation (BT) of volume 22 was completed April of this year (I conflated the published/ translated dates in error)

      I read banned books

I think we’re getting too far into the weeds about the topic. I don’t know about the economics of translation/ publication of the entire series. I would like to see it in print. I would like to encourage publishers to take on longer series and I am a fan of Zero. Heck I’d be super happy if JNC published (only) the memorial volume or an omnibus of the side stories or whatever.

I honestly hope that Zero no Tsukaima gets also Translated, it was also one of the first Animes i watched 4 or 5 Years ago, and i would love to Read the Light Novels. They have Fan Translations up to Volume 22, but i wouldnt hold back and buy them ( even when i would read the Fan Translations first until that maybe happens)

The series is complete, though sadly the death of the author meant that the last 3 volumes, well 2 and a half just lost the same flair, though I am glad it was finished. Some series are sadly left to disappear and linger without an end due to the death of the author (Kaze no stigma being my most saddest memory).

I would be happy for this series, but I think everything depends on the success of the other rescue series bought by J Novel for this to be even considered. The style of prose for light novel continually changes, I must admit that Slayers was sadly not to my taste so that has not been added to my repertoire but I'm sure it has to others.

But until then, the 4 series of the anime will be the fix for those who want to have an idea of this series.

This series is one of the gateway for me in light novels back in BT. Hoping JNC will pick up this precious gem.
