Actually, I don't really discern much between LN and general literature.
A lot of old LNs are sold or rebranded as non-LN title now.
There's this new medium in the gray area called "light bungei" as well.
So I just lump them all together as Japanese literature (even if some complain about how LN can be literature, I just use the term "pop literature" lol) -
