I have never managed to find the light novel version, however the web novel could only be described as wasteful and frustrating as the volumes continued due to wasted word count and effective padding. However, light novels, due to being edited are usually better, with editors removing such extras.
I would not really describe it as harem, as though not an ignorant MC, does not actually seem to progress (unless the LN is different, the manga has not progressed enough).
It is an Isekai and I would probably read it, however the art style is not something I enjoy, rather abstract. I guess I am a big fan of "moe"

I always find it amusing how MC can be surrounded by drop dead gorgeous woman, that obviously want a piece of him, and never pursue any romantic relationship with either of the females.

I always thought of it as a commentary on the population and birth rate problem in Japan...

That said, the last three (or five?)chapters I’ve read (fan translated) are filled with diatribe intended to just fill space, or so it seemed. The three chapters could fill our about half a chapter... maybe more...
