      Description:

Amakawa Haruto is a young man who died before reuniting with his childhood friend who disappeared five years ago. Rio is a boy living in the slums who wants revenge for his mother who was murdered in front of him when he was five years old.

Earth and another world. Two people with completely different backgrounds and values. For some reason, the memories and personality of Haruto who should’ve died is resurrected in Rio’s body. As the two are confused over their memories and personalities fusing together, Rio (Haruto) decides to live in this new world.

Along with Haruto’s memories, Rio awakens an unknown “special power”, and it seems that if he uses it well, he can live a better life. But before that, Rio encountered a kidnapping that turns out to involve two princesses of the Bertram Kingdom that he lives in.

After saving the princesses, Rio is given a scholarship to the Royal Academy, a school for the rich and powerful. Being a poor orphan in a school full of nobles turns out to be an extremely detestable place to stay at.

Oh man, if they get this, Sam will get to screw with Roxism's bullshit all over again xD

actually, recently Roxism has "dropped" the LN version to another translator (who's very fast but only recently started) so it wouldn't or shouldn't create any more mess with Roxism.

aside form that, this has been one of the series that ive been figuratively DYING to read and pains me anytime i try to read the WN version (also done by Roxism) cause its chapters are always split into various parts. hopefully JNC will be able to grab this one.

Roxism is still doing the WN version and can still be shut down by DMCA, and I don't see Sam being nice about it, not after what happened with Undead Adventurer.

@village-idiot I am pretty sure Sam is nice about it. If I remember correctly with uchimusume or another Licensed (I think there were a few like this) there was a Fan Translator and the Translator even said Sam/JNC was nice about it and that he could still the translations of what was not Translated by JNC yet and that he will take down the chapters that were officially translated (about 25 chapters/parts per month or so). Also, I am sure the Fan-translators who do it purely out of love would not mind while the ones who try to make money of it will make a big scene.

@drone205 You're missing the history here... Google "roxism jnc novelupdates" to read all about it. Not gonna post the link here just to keep that filth off these forums.

@myskaros I got the general gist now, I get most news from word of mouth. well going back on what the actual topic is, I really would like this series licensed. This seems really interesting and I heard the two personalities is dome well witch that concept is already a good hook but if it is done well that is even better. The story also seems pretty good from what I heard too and It has made Justus R Stones Top 10 LN in Japan a few times so it has that going for it too.

I'm currently reading the fan-translation, and boy, is the LN a lot better written than the WN. Roxism's lack of editing and sickening Patreon hijinks aside, the plot in the LN version seems to be handled a lot better so far. I'd love it if it gets licensed, though I'd feel bad for the guy who recently picked up the LN version, as he's probably one of the coolest guys in the fanslation scene, one of the few remaining that translate for the fun of it instead of money.

Ok, I just spent time on the NU forum reading the Roxism drama (I’m procrastinating doing work so I read the entire damn thread). Have to say I can see why a few there would be ok with MTL as their forum posts read like they are machine translated... 😮

I've been reading the manga of this one (and it's currently on a cliffhanger...) but it seems to involve nothing but the protagonist getting the short end of the stick. Everybody is out to get him, to accuse him of terrible things he didn't do, even throwing false accusations of attempted murder at him just because they don't like him... I can only take so much "nothing ever goes right for the protagonist"...

@guspaz You can think of it kind of like Arifureta, where the first book is more setting the stage and every book thereafter is much more pro-Rio. The story warps to max speed starting in book 4 and it was really hard to stop reading.
