This has been bothering me for a while. Miya Kazuki periodically sends out this kind of tweet - https://twitter.com/miyakazuki01/status/1285760094395748352

    I received oversea print samples.

    • Korean edition P4V7
    • Taiwanese edition P4V4
They are progressing very well. Thank you very much to the respective translators and publishers.
And of course to the readers.

But I never seen her mention receiving English print. Does J-novel ever deliver their print sample to the authors? If not, why not? I think it is beneficial to the business of J-novel to show minimum level of courtesy to the authors, and providing sample print is a great way to do it.

We do - they're provided to the publisher, usually when someone has an in-person meeting. It's up to them to get it into the authors' hands. Just because people aren't talking about something on social doesn't meant it isn't happening.

J-Novel Club will be sending her copies. See their reply on this tweet where the author mentions she didn't have any samples: https://twitter.com/miyakazuki01/status/1267638387202093057

yeah I can understand this. Most authors life so secluded (most because they don't want it to bleed in their first job) that not even their adress is known. We could take for example Kazuma Kamachi with all his books he has written we don't know much of his personal life. Or did anyone ever see Kugane Maruyama without a mask. So I assume most authors can only be contacted over their agents/editors.

Yes, I've seen that. Still waiting for LNs to get delivered.
