Would love to read the story, but i'm pretty sure that they will not license it since the theme is what is most commun: High School, Harem and OP protagonist

I don't think the genres prevent it from being licensed as Fantasy is more of the big seller. But the issue is that Yen Press hasn't licensed it yet, but they licensed a kind of shitty clone of it. So who knows if they'll ever license it and cannibalize the sales of their shittier version. (The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody)

I thought that the first novel was decent and that the story had potential, but it seemed like the next volume just doubled down on the bad aspects of the series instead of improving, which was very disappointing. Either way, I'd very much like to see this series licensed.

After episode four, I find this show way more entertaining than the premise would suggest. Initially I was going to avoid watching it because of the overused plot setting but gave it a shot after opinions were generally positive. Surprisingly this has easily become my second favorite show in the current season. Seems like it would be fun to read as well.

I must admit, the anime art style makes me remember the fight scene stylism of Rakudai or Chivalry of a Failed Knight.
This series is one I have picked up the original light novels in Japanese, but again would love for it to be picked up in English. But as always, sometimes I feel as if I am picking the losing but superior horse when there are two similar novels released in the same time period.
But I can only hope that this does get picked up....

The anime is quite enjoyable, they seem to be rushing quite a bit of content though.

Been enjoying the anime much more than expected. The premise sounded like just another generic OP mc harem series but after a few episodes of the anime, I found the MC of the series to be pretty unique and fun to watch. Would love a license of this one for sure!

2nd season of the anime incoming but not a whisper of anyone interested in the license. It is a shame, especially when Yen Press chose the other Misfit Demon King series. Ah, reminds me of the old Asterisk and Rakudai debate
