Personally I really like the Gandors and volume 4 is a favourite of mine! After you finish the book, you might want to check out chapters 1-5 of the (good) manga as it features that group of childhood friends in a prequel story set in 1927. It's not essential by any means but I enjoyed it. :slight_smile:

Strike the Blood - 3 volumes, have volume 4 on my bookshelf.
Invaders of the Rokujyōma!? - 3 volumes
No Game No Life - 5 volumes, however just got volume 6 in the mail the other day, now to find time to read it.
A Certain Magical Index - 9 volumes, have volume 10 on my bookshelf.
Arifureta - 2 volumes
My Big Sister Lives in a Fantasy world - 4 volumesInfinite Dendrogram - 1 volume
My Favorite Song - Silver Siren - 1 volume
Konosuba - 1 volume, have volume 2 on my bookshelf.
Accel World - 1 volume, have volume 2 on my bookshelf
Asterisk War - 1 volume, have volume 2.
Is it wrong to pick up girl in a dungeon? - 1 volume, but I have volumes 2-5,
Log Horizon - 1 volume, but I have volumes 2-5,
Demon king daimao - 1 volume
If It's for my daughter I would even Defeat a demon lord? - 1 volumeI only put the series from stuff I have read at lest 1 volume too, not every light novel series that I have collected.

Anyone seen this site Qidian International? Are they legit / legal Chinese web novels translated to English? How do they make their money (ads?)?
After I saw the Cross Infinite World announcement of that Reincarnated into an Otome Protagonist book, I wanted to see if there were any male reincarnation stories, and there's one called Neet Receives a Dating Sim System there.

I'm not really interested in any Wuxiang/Cultivation/Chinese novels (except maybe Release That Witch), but this Qidian saga is popcorn worthy.

Ahh, too bad. I try to stay on the up and up with my novel reading (haven't read any fanslations yet, but if I did, I'd probably want to purchase the books in Japanese first to show support).
Edit: I don't really understand the situation in the link though... that doesn't sound like illegal, just them taking back their properties and not licensing any more to that other site. I'm probably misunderstanding the situation from those posts.
Edit 2: That additional link on the Reddit got me an answer to my other question...
which they intend to paywall in a few months.

@terrence The illegal part refers to https://www.reddit.com/r/noveltranslations/comments/6cp1ag/please_use_this_thread_to_discuss_the_wuxiaworld/. I obviously cannot verify those claims, but with everything said and done, Qidan seems to be at least scummy.

From what I gather, Qidan just rips fan translations from Wuxia World, though they're in process of recruiting Wuxia World's translators and bringing over their series.
They're currently in legal dispute with them as well.
Personally I wouldn't read stuff on Qidan. They seem really scummy, aiming for an eventual paywall and LOL I ain't paying for fan translations.

A lot of light novels released yesterday. Anyone get any?
I got:
Part Timer 8 (2.99 after a Google Books 5 off promo).
Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers 2 (3.50 after a 5 off credit from a cancelled free Amazon Echo Dot).
I'm making out like a bandit.
Also got Slime Reincarnation (which I think I messed up and got the manga) and Goblin Slayer 3 on their way.

What am I reading? I'm reading Sword Art Online in paper format, Devil is a Part-Timer! and In Another World With My Smart Phone in ebook format. (Smartphone was being purchased from Amazon, but will be purchased as a premium Ebook from here starting with volume 5. Debating whether to start reading Infinate Dendrogram or Demon King Diamaou. Suggestions appreciated.

@terrence quick question for part timer, what volume did the anime end on? I'm feeling really lazy and don't feel like reading it from the start, I loved the anime and I'm actually looking forward to buying this LN if it continued after the anime that is.

Depends what you're after really! If you think you've got your fill of VRMMO settings with SAO or want to read something full of fanservice then pick Demon King Daimaou. Otherwise, my recommendation would be Infinite Dendrogram as I feel it is the stronger story.

Volume 3! I was lazy too, so I just started from there.
