Name: Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat)
      alt text
      • LNDB
Publisher: - MF Bunko J (Media Factory)

      Volume: October 25, 2010 - ongoing (12 volumes)

      Author: Sou Sagara

      Illustrator: Kantoku

Synopsis: Youto Yokodera wants to be seen in a way different from most men: as a pervert. However, his lewd actions are often misinterpreted as good intentions, and people cannot see his true nature. Upon hearing rumors of a cat statue that can banish an unwanted trait, he searches for it and prays for his façade to be removed. But each wish comes at a price: those unwelcomed traits are transferred to someone else who desires them!

After realizing that vocalizing his dirty thoughts is not the best thing, Youto decides to regain his lost traits by seeking out the person who received them. Unfortunately, he was not alone in praying to the cat statue, and now he must not only fix his life, but the lives of others as well.

Reason: I watch this anime long time ago, I really like it because of comedy but the title eh you know what it is. I would love to get this license and I want to know more what happen after the anime.

I've given up all hope on that after the fan tl was nuked. The anime was ages ago, even those who watched it barelly remember it and I'm like the only person in the world who wants to read how it all played out.

I'm not bitter, you are bitter sobs

@nichtmalda I'm not going to say its particularly likely but I wouldn't completely give up. After all J novel club does occasionally license older series like Sorcerer Stabber Orphen, Demon King Daimaou, and Outbreak Company. I think the best comparison of my 3 example though is Outbreak Company, both Outbreak Company and Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko aired in the same year and though I will admit I have no idea how popular either series was when they were airing but both of them seemed to be forgotten by 2018. And yet out of nowhere J novel club licensed Outbreak Company. I have no idea what Sam's reasoning was but it does set a precedent that any series is fair game.

Just see this post. I remember that i just type hentai in some manga search (where hentai are not shown) for fun and get 2 result.
1- hentai kamen (for me that was bad)
2-this manga. I also read this thinking ecchi.

This series is commpleatly different from what i thought but I really like it. then my heart broke when i saw that it only has 4 volume. After that i saw it has both anime and light novel also. I saw its anime and then move toward light novel to get disappointed that its not translated.
              upvoted!!

This series is one of the older ones I'd automatically pre-order if it was licensed.

The actual problem with this one is "Digital Manga".
They announced their license of the title but never released a thing.

I really love Kantoku's art style, especially the way he draws plaid. Always nice to see more of it!

Yep, an interesting story and satisfying ending. One of the older series that I really recommend.

I remember it and would be interested in knowing what happens next. The anime was much better than I expected from the title and synopsis.

                            Stay shiny, y'all.

A quality completed series? Sign me the F up bruh! also this has been said by almost everyone, but the anime was way better than is has any right to be. Meaning the light novel will be even better!

I think DMP licensed the manga because they thought it was a yaoi title, and couldn't interest any of their translators to continue it when they discovered it wasn't...

                                    "But the blueprints..."

@someoldguy Huh, apparently the manga is still purchasable on Kindle/Comixology for a decent price. Only first 3 volumes though.

@legitpancake I got the first edition of v1 manga just before going to a seminar a few years ago, mostly on a whim. By the end of the book, I'd committed myself to collecting the entire series... Only to find that DMP had all but pulled out of delivering any future volumes. Eventually I got the other two volumes, and tried finding the fan translation.

If DMP ever puts out additional volumes, I'll buy them, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Hmm... looks like the fan trans of the manga got through to the end; Maybe I'll see if I can buy those volumes on amazon japan still.

Edit: The full set of Henneko manga is still available on Amazon Japan, for 4700 yen. Of course I ended up spending almost 7800 plus shipping picking up some other releases... Google translate can be REALLY expensive to use!

                                        "But the blueprints..."

The manga only covers what is in the anime, albeit with differences.
