“By the Grace of the Gods” written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra centers on a middle-aged businessman, Ryoma Takebayashi, who finds himself reincarnated into another world after an unexpected death and discovers his greatest passion: training slimes!
Penned by Washiro Fujiki and illustrated by Yu Kodama, “The Underdog of the Eight Greater Tribes” features the young Yuri Eniastar’s relentless quest to reach the top in the world’s only arena, Duel City Babel.

Dunno anything about underdog. Description is on generic side, but hey, it can turn out to be good, like Magicmaster did.
Will skip By the Grace... though. Remake web novel of it was too overly descriptive slog for my tastes, with a big heap of "everyone praises MC for every little thing" on top of that.

I was reading the web novel (reboot) of 'By the Grace of the Gods' before the announcement and I must say I really enjoy it.
I don't know how much difference there are with the light novel but if it's a more polished version then I'm sure it'll be enjoyable enough.
Though the serie has action and adventures, the slice of life part is more predominant.
Ryoma is very smart and strong, so it's your usually OP MC but there isn't a harem or a super deep plot.
It's just about a boy (?) living peacefully after reincarnation. -
Not really hype for any of them.
I read the first version of "By the grace of the god" WN and it was okay, the slime breeding was fun but the story was quite generic and it end up being boring after sometime. I'm interested to see how the author improved it after rewriting it 2 times tho."The underdog of the eight greater tribes" looks even more generic but the "insane protagonist" Tag has me interested plus the setting could be fun.
