I just read that both seasons 2 and 3 for Shield Hero are in production as was announced at the Crunchyroll Expo 2019. Please oh please let this be true! If so I can't wait!

That’s great news! I haven’t finished Season One yet, but Shield Hero was a great example of a Light Novel adaptation done right.

Quick Shield Hero question, how many volumes of the books did the first season cover?

It covered just about 5 volumes, although they have also done things at the end of the season that didn't happen for a few more volumes. So the timeline is kinda messed up, but nothing too bad as it was more of a minor plot point.

This was done right, which is more than I can say for Arifureta. I'm just glad to see that they are moving forward because the story just gets better from where they stopped!

Happy we got more seasons of this, I really enjoyed the next arc so it will be fun to see it animated.

I didn't think it would get a season 2 with how they ended the first one but color me surprised. Unfortunately since they had changed a few things its going to be a little confusing. Most of the changes happened in the second half especially episode 21. I hope it turns out to be good and if anyone wants an in-depth breakdown of what they had changed check out AniNews on YouTube

Well, looks like CR is finally being useful and giving fans what they want. They were a big part in the production committee for the first season. What do you know, the show was a smash hit and more seasons get announced. I wonder if Kinema Citrus will still work on it.
