Title: Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata | 治癒魔法の間違った使い方 ~戦場を駆ける回復要員~
      alt text
MAL | LNDB | Bookwalker JP

      Author: Kurokata
Illustrator: KeG (same as Skeleton Knight)
      Publisher: Media Factory (MF Books)
Status: Completed, 12 volumes, last release March 2020. Web novel is ongoing.
Manga adaptation: Yes (7 volumes and ongoing as of Oct 2020)

Description (from NU): On a harsh rainy day, a high school student without any particular special skills, Usato Ken, got dragged into another world summoning with two others; a good-looking guy and a beautiful girl, both of whom he strangely started getting along with just today. As an especially talentless individual that doesn’t stand out, he thought that he would be treated as useless. However, the others were unexpectedly kind.

—- “Maybe just like this it will go well?”

Usato who found hope in another world thought that, but the reality was different. He had a certain magical talent hidden in him and he was forced to fall into hell under the name of “training”.
※This story is another world comedy.

My thoughts: I have not read the web novel or the manga, but I have heard good things about it from my college roommate. MF Books is the same publisher as Mushoku Tensei, so J-Novel has yet to land a deal with them, but hopefully we can prove to Kadokawa that this model is profitable.

I thought it was okay, at first, but the way it hints that the person who's acting as a drill sergeant and forcing him to do things might like him I found creepy. It's really, REALLY not a good basis for a relationship.

Probably would read it if JNC licensed it though.

The synopsis doesn't tell me anything useful. That said, just from the title alone, I'm up voting this, it's intrigued me.

Basically, the protagonist has "Healing Magic" which is weird. Everyone can heal normal things, but Healing Magic lets the user rapid-heal themselves and superheal others. Cue a boot camp where they are forced to constantly train, while using their healing magic to heal the damage as their muscles tear themselves apart from the work, yadda yadda, compressing years of work into a few weeks.

And no, this happens in a chapter, so not really spoiling.

This seemed interesting to I read the manga. I think this LN would be a great addition to JNC's library. Two thumbs way up!

@Hyferzftw Yeah, I'd planned on doing more detail, but work called and so I didn't get to edit.

But anyway, it's about a typical isekai story, but the protagonist is in basically military boot camp, his friends are the heroes who have overt magical powers, and he can basically super-train himself into near-Captain America levels in a few weeks and otherwise doesn't have overt magic.

It's interesting. I just am not sure of the hinted romance I saw in it. I really, really do not like Rose, freudian excuse or no.

The manga for this series is great and I like the humour and story of the series (at least from what I've seen so far). would be a great series for licensing and one i would be more than willing to buy once translated.

This is one I would like to read, it's basically an isekai, the protagonist got summoned to another world by mistake as his friends are the heroes.
He trains, becomes strong, only magic he can use is healing magic.
Give it a try it's a nice one, and am sure I would buy the 9 volumes of this.

I read the web novel version and I find it hilarious. The whole blue grizzly scenario and how it is used for training especially so.
I would definitely partake if this got licensed, regardless of company.

Sounds fun and a different twist on the genre (usually healers are female, and not tank builders)

                                    I read banned books

I love this series, I would really like it licensed, it's the first time I've seen an MC with that kind of power, he is like a monk you would see in games

What evidence do we have that it's ending? I'm not seeing any word anywhere.
