@sparhawk6 damn straight I wanted the Masou Gakuen Light Novels too...although not really for the story just for the illustrations by Hisasi.

Although I will say I am still annoyed at the fact that after all this time with the Saekano manga license under their belts they still haven't licensed the LN.

@Rahul-Balaggan Masou Gakuen LN is good. Translation is up to date, and as you say, illustrations are pretty good. But there is one pretty dark themed LN - Fremd Torturchen. It is really good and illustrations are awesome too. I think they are from same Illustrator that did Black Bullet.

@kuuderes_shadow Here's our secret: We translate ALL light novels ahead of time, just in case we license one. Then we're ready with the first 50% of v1 right off the bat!

@Sam-Pinansky Well since you translate ALL of them I am sure you have a Light Novel about a chef who is transported to another world and uses his cooking to defeat the demon lord...only you can bring that novel to the rest of the world.

I'll throw in a wish for Henneko - The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat. I know the manga was licensed (and stuck at volume 3 for forever), but I don't the original light novel ever was. That would make me a happy Melicans.

Still waiting for Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou to get a proper recognition(yes not even a license). Like notice it Translator-senpai >.<

Are any of the newer licenses from J-Novel Club not from the two LN publishers they've worked with in the past (Hobby Japan and Overlap)?

Wonder what to maybe look at for future license possibilities.

Well, it will be cool to see other companies too. But HJ have one really cool LN, but it is a bit more ecchi and most of the publishers are scared of it as hell. That LN is Hagure Yuusha no Estetica .
Fujimi Fantasia Bunko will be a big win ( DxD, Date a Live, Amagi Brilliant Park, ...)
MF Bunko J ( Absoulte Duo, Madan no Ou to Vanadis, Zero no Tsukaima,...)
Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko ( Shinmai Maou no Testament, Hybrid x Heart Magis Academy Ataraxia as Masou Gakuen, Mondaiji, Last Embryo, Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasuka? Isogashii desuka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desuka? +sequel, ...)

Fujimi Fantasia Bunko is a label from Fujimi Shobo wich is brand company of Kadokawa Corporation.

MF Bunko J... brand company of Kadokawa Corporation.

Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko... well, you know what.

GA Bunko is a subsidiary of Softbank (OK no Kadokawa for once).

@Kyon7 Well, I just put names of companies, that actually imprint the books. No offense, I honestly not really care that much (if it is brand or not)about it, because what I am after are mentioned titles.

@sparhawk6 I don't mean to sound negative but Kadokawa will probably be the hardest to license from.

This is all just an assumption but that fact that they own the controlling share of Yen Press means that they mostly would wanna stick to their own company so they profit the most.

I mean look at how long it took Seven Seas to start working with Shueisha, Shueisha partly owns Viz so all Shueisha titles have stuck to viz like a damn sore thumb.

Again not trying to be negative and if I am proven wrong and J-Novel Club starts working working with Kadokawa tomorrow...I will gladly eat crow.

(Although I want them to work with SoftBank so we can get Rakudai Kishi, Inō-Batoru, Seiken Tsukai & No-Rin)

@Rahul-Balaggan Well, I guess that maybe translation speed and quality + sales can make a difference, but hard to say, cuz I have never dealt with publisher so I don´t know. I would like to be surprised.
And definitely agree with Rakudai + I would like to see Hundred.

World Teacher: Other World Style Education & Agent, well, on one side I like it, but on the other side, that best disciple wingman part in WN is sometimes annoying. ( there are really cool girls, but they end up with someone else pff) But maybe LN is a bit different.
