It appears you have misunderstood what a membership gives you access to. If you take a look at this topic, you will see when prepubs expire from the service. A membership gives you access to current translations, but not old translations, unless it is a catch-up month. Check the site's front page to see what series are on catch-up. As a member you have the opportunity to buy premium ebooks that have bonuses that other retailers do no have. Otherwise, if you feel a membership is not worth it, email support to get a refund. Hope that answers things :)

I had the same misunderstanding, that said, the membership pays for itself. You get a ePub that you can load on your preferred device or app without much fuss. (I have to use calibre to convert to kindle format however)

As the previous poster mentioned, they WILL eventually cycle Around to your fav series sooner or (hopefully not) later.

          What am I reading?

@LegitPancake thanks a lot for your answer, but because my english as u can see isnt the best, let me ask u again. The topic that u linked its about 2 years old and speaks about some months of the 2017 year i think. The volumes that they say will expire propably expired long time before now right?
Also Catch-up months are random? I went to front page to check what u said to me and i saw a february catch up month then november and october. Also do they announce the catch up month before it begins? i mean they will announce in 29-30 of the previous month that the next month will be a catch up month?

ah nevermind the question about random months, it is right there.. that it will be a catch up of a catch up, yeah sometimes i get too hasty, so as i can see every month is a catch up month of smthing.
@Thomask i have to download the mazon kindle etc if i want to buy e books and read em? also thank u also for ur time taking to answer me!

@ouranos that topic is regularly updated, so the months you see are the most recent/upcoming 2019 months. The general rule of thumb is that prepubs for a volume expire 1-2 months after the full ebook gets published , so the first volumes of, say, Realist Hero or Paladin expired several years ago.
Also, every month is a catch-up month. Different series get cycled around for catch up. February and March were the same titles this time. It is not announced ahead of time what titles will be up for catch-up, unfortunately, although that would be nice. Sam, the founder, updates the catch-up at the beginning of every month, and we won’t know what they will be until it comes. Also he’s often several days sometimes weeks late haha

Also, in order to buy ebooks from JNC, go into your account page and you can purchase “premium credits,” with each credit redeemable for a single ebook. You can then go to a volume’s page on the site and redeem the credit for a book. The book will then appear in your library, and you can download it as an ePub3 file. This file can be sent to any ereader you typically use (although sending to Kindle requires converting to mobi).

                  Here is what happens:

January 2019 - Volume 13 of In Another World With My Smartphone starts being translated
January - March 2019 - as new parts are translated, they can be read by members
March 2019 - Volume 13 is released to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. and members can still read it
April? 2019 - members can no longer read volume 13.

You can read new volumes when they are being translated, and for a month or two after that. Then they become "no longer available" and you need to buy them.

Catch-up month: Every month they pick 1-3 titles and let members read ALL of the series not just the latest volume.

Right now you can read ALL of Arifureta because it is a "catch up" title. In April you can no longer read all of the books, just the first chapter.

Premium Editions that you buy directly from J-Novel Club are in ePub format. If you use a reader that supports ePub, or an app for android or iOS tablet that can read ePub then you just download and start reading.

If you have a Kindle e-ink reader, you need to use a program like Calibre (which is free) to convert from ePub format to a Kindle format (mobi?).

@ouranos Faraway Paladin is currently stalled, last we heard the author had writer's block.

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@myskaros That's kind of understandable. He tossed out so many threads. Which ones to follow and which to let go? I've got my favorites. I'm sure others have theirs.
