Opinion On the Series: I like the sound of the Series! I like this series for the mere fact that it's like a game within a LN! Of course there are other Series that are like this but this one sounds very Promising! -
@crossfoxlurk This is a really good series and one that I wouldn't mind seeing get translated. The manga adaptation is pretty good too.

Pretty much I think (sometimes you get multiple pulls in one I think?). I only really play stuff that has loot boxes you can win freely (like Rocket League and Xenoblade 2 if that counts). I don't play phone games.

The origin of the name comes from those plastic egg things.
"Gashapon" is onomatopoeic from the two Japanese sounds: "gasha" (or "gacha") for the hand-cranking action of a toy-vending machine, and "pon" for the toy capsule landing in the collection tray.

@galactuskahn24 The main difference in concept between lootboxes and gacha games is that lootboxes are usually a reward that has non-gameplay related bonuses, whereas gacha games are balanced around all elements of the player being randomly obtained from the gacha (lottery, if you will). They're usually some kind of RPG, so your entire party is made up of randomly-obtained characters and weapons.
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Volume 8 was released in January. I really want to see this translated; the manga is great and the characters are awesome
