@anokatax Well, the latest volume sold 6544 copies before falling out of the weekly LN rankings. So... it ain't making any waves is all I can say...

@doublemangekyo hmm, what's the average or norm for top LNs?

Top LN sell atleast over 10k in their first week and then some more the following week. I dont think you can compare it to one - but then again all top series have a anime adaptation wich can be huge - KimiSen dosent. I think it has average sales, so yes, not good not bad. I still think it could be a strong license candidate but maybe the publishers are waiting for a anime adaptation, afterall over 90% of licensed LNs do have one.

@happy Gotcha, thanks for the info! I guess I'll cross my fingers for something to give it more publicity for a license or anime adaptation.

Did any of you check out the manga and have an opinion on that?

It’s a great series and I would love to see it translated! Has any progress been made in this series being considered by J-Novel Club btw? What do you think are it’s chances of getting licensed?

Its hard to say, getting a license from the Fujimi Shobo Label is pretty much like saying you made it in life. With that said though, companies are starting to manage to get stuff from them. JNC has like 2 LN's from them, YP has the Isekai mom one and they just licensed another one from the same label. Interesting though, is the fact that most of them are new series or arent long running series - so on that note KimiSen could have its fair chances of getting licensed with only 5 volumes out. If im not mistaken another good LN from the same label just had an anime announced, "Assassins Pride" - maybe if that does good they will consider licensing it or things similar to it, in this case KimiSen. I think it would also increase the chances for a license if KimiSen itself got an anime, wich might happen since it has the potential.

@happy Just a slight correction, the only Fujimi title JNC has announced so far is Amagi. There's definitely more coming (maybe even one of the 5 licenses that'll be announced next month), but that's all we know.

You forgot "Sorcerous Stabber Orphen" but in the end the point still stands - there arent a lot of Fujimi Shobo licenses. Hopefully we will see more from the label in the future. Also apparently the author of one of the LNs Yen Press just licensed is the author of Akashic records, so who knows... Maybe one day.

@happy Orphen is licensed from TO Books, not Fujimi, as Sam made clear in the thread I linked to.

@hemsicle said in Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen:

A lot of people are reminded of Romeo and Juliet after reading the premise, and I wouldn't fault them. Two starcrossed lovers - but that's where the comparison ends. Iska and Aliceliese do not start off suddenly smitten with each other but are instead driven by their smoldering rivalry, which other characters or even themselves misconstrue into romantic interest.

Sounds a lot like most modern renditions of Romeo and Juliet, lol. Still, I haven't read it so I won't judge until I have.

Winning isn't really that fun if you want a challenge... Making others win, on the other hand...
