Ore ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Rachirareta Ken
      alt text

      Publisher: Ichijinsha Bunko (Ichijinsha)
      Status: Complete, 11 volumes

      Let's see
The story is set in this hidden academy full of innocent sheltered oujou-sama who know nothing about real world, and men.
Since the school noticed that the graduated students fail to cope up with the very different environment outside school, they decided to bring in a "Shomin Sample" a.k.a a commoner sample to teach them about the outside world.

      Natually, our MC was chosen.
Average and mundane might be the perfect words to describe Kagurazaka Kimito. However, there's a catch.
The school think he's homo, not just a homo but likes macho guys the most~
Why would they put a straight healthy highschooler in this harem school full of easy targets, right?
So, his choices are either play along or get his "thing" cut.
      Here we go~

-I think the manga is licensed by Seven Seas
      -There's anime too

It's funny how it's the same with me.

I just made a topic for another novel that I thought it's only manga (I also thought that Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko was just a manga)

Finished books seem to sell less, so no getting hopes up. Ongoing ones, especially once that will get an anime soon(ish) have the best chances.

@jon-mitchell 2 months ago Manga got finished without adapting whole series :( but I would like to have it licenced and btw i you look at the illustrations of final vol. it looks like its

                          spoiler

illustrations 1-11 enjoy :D but I still think that Anime and Manga art style is much more CUTER than Light Novel one :D (anime adapted 6 vol.)

You know Shomin Sample is fun and all, but I still can't believe the author went from writing a harem comedy LN to writing some of the best selling Japanese romance novels.

I liked the anime and buy the Manga as it is released. I would buy the LN if it was released. Complete series are always good with me.

I don’t know why, but this is on my radar again. I see that ln/manga hard copy is licensed by seven seas in the US. I know that there have been a few titles in the past that JNC had digital only license, and Seven Seas picked up physical, has there ever been a case of the reverse? Where J-Novel picked up a title AFTER it had been in print (in English) already?

                                I read banned books

@jon-mitchell It was the manga that was licensed, not the LN.

@jon-mitchell this one doesn’t count since the light novel has never been officially translated in English, but Full Metal Panic and Crest of the Stars were published physical book only in English years ago by Tokyopop.

Normally this would be a series I would be interested in, but sadly, being aware of the background behind the novel (i.e. the author), you can tell as the series continues towards completion that they are no longer interested in the series so I was rather disappointed in it.

For a series I am aware of, I would have to say I would not be interested in this, despite the first five novels being quite laughable and humorous and how enjoyable the anime series was.

                                      Author of Praetor's Blood.
