I saw the anime The Story of Saiunkoku (Colourcloud Palace) and wanted to read the manga and light novel, but only part of the story was made into manga and translated into English. The light novel, to my knowledge, was never translated. It was an interesting story and I would like to see how it progressed. I liked how the setting has the forbidden city vibes like The Apothecary Diaries.

      Title: The Story of Saiunkoku

      Format: Light Novel
      Written By: Sai Yukino
      Illustrated By: Kari Yura
      Japan Publisher: Kadokawa Shoten
I believe the light novels were completed in Japan, but have not been translated into English

      Format: Manga
      Written By: Sai Yukino
      Illustrated By: Kari Yura
      Japan Publisher: Kadokawa Shoten
      English Publisher: Viz Media
The manga has 9 volumes in English, but it cuts off in the middle and does not finish the story. It would be awesome if a new manga could be created to continue where the old one left off. I really like the manga artist’s character style that was used.

@Tigercat1 There’s already a suggestion here, so this will probably get locked. Please upvote that one.

This is one of my top license wishes of older series, so you’re not alone in wanting it.
