Was it's first anime adaptation ending made up by the staff or straight from the light novel? Cause I remember someone saying the way the last episode ended was made up, so now I just don't know if they were right or wrong, please help me.

@Ruby-Eye I don't believe the first season had an anime-original ending, it followed the book's events as far as I remember. The main complaint about season 1 was that book 4 got compressed into a single episode, if I remember correctly.

@Rivenheart-33k371x This is the general Light Novel Discussion subforum, so people are welcome to discuss other books not published by JNC here. Although this specific topic I could see belonging in the Anime Discussion subforum instead :x

I know the first two seasons are close to the novels (though often truncated). Not sure I finished the books reflected in the 3rd yet.

The movie is new, but the author had a lot of input at least. I think the only anime original whole stories are the ovas, though there maybe a few bits in the series as well as it's been a long enough time since I read and watched the two for comparison.

As a huge fan, the anime is...accurate...for the half of the story it shows. Danmachi is a phenomenal light novel series. I'm rather glad this season, since it appears they're doing a split cour; volume 12/13 in the first half and 14 in the second. Which it needs, volume 14 is a nonstop action chonky boy.
