Hello, I want to cancel my yearly premium membership subscription to take the "simple" membership subscription (I have 5 unused credits right now so I'll buy some whenever).

Renewal was yesterday but as I changed my credit card a few months ago payment couldn't get through for obvious reasons.
I did try canceling my subscription yesterday before receiving the email about the failed payment but apparently too late and now I can't downgrade subscription.

Can you force my account to normal forum member so that I can take a yearly subscription as member ?

By the way, I just tested and I can still download prepub chapters right now

      Thanks

@manusdei AFAIK failed payment means that you'll keep your membership status for a couple of days while they try to charge you again. After a few unsuccessful attempts it will simply downgrade you to from expired (still kind of member) to user (non-member) and you can resubscribe after that.

You probably should email support@j-novel.club for assistance with this.

@saffire Yep, for membership, payment and account issues, the staff pretty much universally tell people to send an email to their support inbox since these types of questions can often involve information you can't just post on the forums.

To be a pedantic ass, you can post them to the forums, it's just a really bad idea to do so!

Just wanted to chime in that _08 is correct; once Stripe has sent an invoice out for collection, there's no way for us to recall it, so it'll just keep trying to charge your now-invalid card every couple days. Once the 3rd attempt fails, your subscription will be automatically canceled, at which point you can sign up for the normal membership if you wish.
