Forum option to mute specific threads in the "Unread" list

I use the "Unread" tab regularly when browsing the forum, and while I usually don't have a problem with threads-not-of-interest (series I'm not following, etc.), I would like the option to specifically mute certain threads so that they no longer show up in my feed at all. This is a step beyond "mark as read" because I would also like to effectively mark-as-read any future posts in the same thread.
Can this be done?

This should work by marking the topic as "ignoring"
It will no longer appear in your unread list, or recent
The topic should have a bell icon, select that, and a drop-down will appear and "ignoring" is one of the options.
99% sure this will work.

In the upper right hand corner of the forum page there should be a bell icon (possibly with a diagonal line through the bell). If you select it within a thread it should give you the choices, “watching, not watching, ignoring.”If you select “ignore” then you will never see notifications from that thread again, unless you go back and change it again.

@rahul-balaggan - Aha- perfect! I didn't register that that button was a drop down (I'm used to bell icons just being subscribe buttons).

To expand on the Ignore feature... I use this often, but as far as I can sell, you can't do this in list mode, you have to be in the thread. I'd like to be able to select multiple threads and ignore all at once.

This would be much more helpful if I could mark multiple. There's a lot of crap I need to ignore. -
You can do this for whole categories too. Just go to the category in the forum and in the top right where it says 'Watching' you can change this to 'Not watching' or 'ignoring'.
The difference between the options is explained below each options:
- Watching: Shows topics in unread and recent
- Not watching: Do not show topics in unread, show in recent
- Ignoring: Do not show topics in unread and recent

So, what I mean though is from the "Unread" list.... you click the "Unread" then from there, I'd like to be able to select multiple topics to Ignore... see this screenshot...
You can "Mark as Read" but not ignore.

I agree that would be an improvement. The people to suggest it to aren't JNC though but the developers of the forum via https://community.nodebb.org/category/5/feature-requests
