      Description:

When the company s*ave Yuji Matsutomo came back home late due to late-night overtime work, Saotome Mio, who was next door, was stuck outside without a key. After jumping from veranda to veranda, Matsutomo opened the door and accidentally said “okaerinasai.”

「I thought no one would say that to me for the rest of my life. If you could, please tell that to me again tomorrow.」

「Though I come back home late due to overtime…..」

      「I’ll hire you for $3000 a month!」

Matsutomo was pulled out from a black company by the power of someone elite that works in a leading company.

My next job destination is Saotome-san.

And the job description is to say “Okaerinasai” to the lonely Saotome-san.

      Author: Kiwadoi Shouri
      Artist: Asahina Hikage
      Publisher: Overlap
Status in COO: 1 Volume (ongoing)
      Manga Adaption: Yes (link)
Why: More Slice of Life/RomCom/Adult love story onegai ;)
ps. Kamiyama-san no Kami Bukuro no Naka ni wa (紙山さんの紙袋の中には) is also pretty good

I'd love a mature romcom tho...

Looks like fun, but vol. 1 was released in April and no volume has been released since... here's hoping it wasn't axed and it's just taking a bit for vol. 2 to come out.

There's some huge societal commentary on seeing light novels shift from "I wanna visit other worlds and cast magic" to "I want someone to say welcome home every night."

I'd still read it, mind you.

Just reading the title makes me feel a lot more fiscally responsible. 😌

Also light novels which go "I want to visit other worlds and cast magic, so I can have someone to say 'welcome home' every night".

                Also would totally read it.

It's Overlap and RomComs are an area that JNC is behind on, so let's give this a try!

Thinking about this makes me realize that I'm pretty much in the same position as the OL in this title, just poorer.

Still want to read it tho

I'm so use to seeing spam bot posts start off with "I earn x amount of money" and "I get paid x amount" that I had to re-read this title a few times. For a second I thought "Is this an otaku bot?"

                        Looks interesting.

@taedirk Yeah, one is a realistic hope in the other is never going to happen. Like anyone would say welcome home every night!

Bumping this one up because I forgot it has an existing thread again. The manga has four volumes so far and is also Overlap, so maybe…

Series is completed with 3 volumes with a soft ax. There's still a lot that could have transpired, but at least it ended on a decent stopping point.

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but it is a nice read as long as you don't mind a very infantile female lead. On a positive side, this series is free of a very annoying trope of adult cast acting like... uhh, being very unpleasant in attempt to convince the audience just how grown-up they are.
The real gem here, though, is a side pairing. Watching them was probably even more enjoyable than following the main cast.
