      Please yes please

I wanted to have a witty signature once I saw some of the ones some guys on the Bookworm forums had but None of the ones I thought felt witty enough...

If we can license it, bring it on. I've been having too many weekends lately anyway.

Just like Rozemyne, bookworm fans are nice. However we show no mercy when it comes to getting what we want. 😂

@alfonso_rd_36 Lots of books and for people to leave us alone so we can read them, usually.

Gosh darn it! Twarted by the lack of memetics knowledge!

This obviously fits right after P4V3 in the timeline (since year 1 at the RA ends with P4V3). I wonder if JNC will get this... (I know we'll find out a few hours before the first part goes live if they do, so that's kind of a rhetorical question).

When Altina pulled this, we got it side by side with the main story volume that was running at that time. With the size of the Bookworm project (and the concurrently running Fanbook 2) I wonder if it would make better sense to do it in place of a main story volume before starting P4V4... or if they could handle all three at once.

@pcj I think if we do get it we'll get it side-by-side with V4 right after FB2 ends.

My grasp on sanity remains absolute.

Oh, right, the poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison. ...That poison?

Quof has already given his opinion on this in the licensing request topic, he believes he can do it.

                              Quotes for relevance

Excuse me while I vomit up blood.

I imagine if these were to happen I would do them simultaneously with a main volume without slowing down. Now that LDM is caught up I could slip them into the slots where LDM used to be without issue. But deciding that isn't my wheelhouse.

I mean I've been tling Bookworm and LDM side by side for like 2 years, tling a main volume and this gaiden volume is basically the same thing - two LNs at once. It would be pretty uncomfy if it were during another LDM volume but doing it during a gap between LDM volumes would be standard stuff.

LDM is currently doing a volume (p1 of 10 out), so after that and fanbook vol2 finishes, and then Quof takes a brief nap, it's certainly possible. Kier might actually be more the issue of working on 2 volumes at once, but they could potentially give Gaiden a different editor if he can't? That's obviously not something they can discuss much publicly.

EDIT: should've continued further on, Kier also said he was up for it in the thread. So no guarantee due to licensing involved, but it's certainly something the Bookworm team is willing to do, giving us two volumes at once.

@xdrfiredogx Well Quof is also working on a LDM volume right now, plus the Bookworm manga too. He’s got a lot on his plate even without Gaiden.
I don’t expect Gaiden to start until after LDM is in limbo (final prepub for LDM is November 2nd).

It appears on the official web site that this book is after part 4 vol 4. As to when exactly it should be read I can’t say.

@pcj Funnily enough, the original plan for Altina was to release the short stories volume in place of a main story volume; we only ended up streaming them simultaneously because that was something Roy and I requested. I'm glad it was the approach we went with because I think it worked out well, but the extra workload that was necessary to make it happen certainly came with its challenges.

If we can license this volume, I'm going to be balancing it alongside two other series, the manga, and some proofreading work on a few other titles, so we'll need to ensure things are manageable. Like, releasing it at the same crazy breakneck pace as we release the main Bookworm volumes might be a little too uncomfortable for me. Ultimately though, my stance is the same as it was back in May: if we can license it, bring it on.

Being able to stream it without totally giving up on sleep would be a nice bonus, though.

My favorite memory of that one working out well is one of the parts in the short story volume ended in a cliffhanger... which was then resolved in the same day's part of the main story. Totally by coincidence that they lined up that way. So if you read the short story first and then the main novel, you got the entire story in one sitting that day. :-)

Same here. Like, I got legit goosebumps at how well that timing lined up. And it wasn't a minor bit of story either, it was actually something pretty crucial.
