      Been a while since the last volume finished. Was wondering if its been dropped or if the translation has caught up to the source material?

        I don't think JNC has ever willingly dropped a title before, so I can't really imagine they've dumped the series, but even if they are still negotiating the license for the next volume, you're not going to get any official comment on the matter other than they don't discuss it. Just assume an unforeseen delay has occurred.

        But to answer your question about source material, I believe that Vol 3 came out in Japan end of October 2020 and Vol 4 just came out last month end of May 2021 if Amazon Japan is giving me back the right data.

          JNC has only ever dropped one series, which was done at the Japanese publisher's request after the series (New Life +) was also withdrawn from publication in Japan.

          You can google "New Life light novel controversy" for details.

            @harmlessdave Sad about the controversy.

            But it makes me really happy that if I see a book here I will never have to worry about (as a member) not seeing it finish because I read English instead of Japanese.

            In other news! One should not talk about current negotiations because our support (or lack of it) of certain books getting additional licensing can make the negotiations more complicated.

            (However I do enjoy this series and am looking forward to its continuation)
