I am a returnee member of J novels. I had just updated my membership and even upgraded it to yearly subscription. But when I tried to open some previous volumes of my favorite series "ascendance of a bookworm", it says either "expired" or "not permitted". Why is this? Is this a new policy or something?

        @edoy2lao from the FAQ: https://j-novel.club/faq#volume-x-is-no-longer-available-what-gives

Volume X is no longer available? What gives?

Once a volume has been published as an ebook, it is expired from prepub reading within a month of the ebook release.

Please support the author by purchasing the official ebook! Or you can sign up for a Premium membership and use your Premium Credit to download the Premium ebook straight from our site!

We also make entire series available as “catchups” every month. A catchup series will have all the prepub parts for every volume in that series made available for Members to read. These catchups change every month, so you can check out a lot of series and find new ones to follow!

          Hello,

          Welcome back to J-Novel Club.

All of you questions can be answer in the faq section, but just to summarize a bit:

The way J-Novel Club operates, they license a series and then release volumes one at a time for subscribers to read.

Books are broken down into parts, and released weekly until complete, after the book has been fully translated, edited, and uploaded for members it is compiled into an ebook and sold on various ebook stores. Shortly after it is out for sale, it is taken down from the site, and put into the vault.

The membership allows users to read the latest volume, which is currently being translated, before it goes up for sale, it does not allow full access to the entire catalogue of titles.

Sorry if there was any confusion m however this is how J-Novel Club has operated since its inception, if you did not desire to use the membership as is, you can request a refund by emailing, support@J-Novel.club

          Thank you

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@rahul-balaggan no need to apologize. I was just surprised by the way it had change since I had remembered it. I was also trying to buy the ebooks but I don't know how much coins I need per Volumes. So I got a little frustrated. Sorry about that. So where can I buy the ebooks then?

@parasquid sorry about that. I truely support that authors and the translators without any question. I was just surprised by the way the site has changed since I could remember. I was even trying to buy the volumes I wanted to read but no price tag or how many coins I need per volume so I got frustrated. Sorry if I offended you. So where can I buy the ebooks then?

I'm not sure what you are remembering exactly, but members have never been able to read any book indefinitely on the website, aside from a couple very specific exceptions. Once a given book has been released in full on all the webstores (Amazon, Kobo, Bookwalker, etc.), the prepublication parts expire shortly afterward.

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@edoy2lao did you find it, as in...you had bought it in the past and and just came across it, or that you found and purchased it on amazon just now.

If the case is the latter, I'd recommend not doing that in the future and get the premium version from now on from JNC's site, especially since you already have a membership. Premiums are DRM free, uncompressed higher quality images and can have bonus content.

I haven't followed AoB lately but you can find a list of all JNC's series bonus content included in the premiums here:https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/305/premium-e-book-bonus-contents-list

@edoy2lao like @Khaos , I do recommend buying the 7 USD credits to buy the Bewkworm books, I know I will just having extra money

I wanted to have a witty signature once I saw some of the ones some guys on the Bookworm forums had but None of the ones I thought felt witty enough...
The solution: Fuck it, I'll go Commando!
